Kasha, Fudo and Shoha
I still get plenty of mileage out those, to your point especially when used to continue skillchains
Kasuga feet and stinger helm showed up in a lot of my sims for the pdl with cor and brd buffs rdm debuff

Fudo and Mumei continue to scale well all the way to 3000tp.

Primes seem to have a linear growth pattern across the board and Fudo isn't far off with a slightly steeper growth from 2000-3000. (3.75-5.75-8.0)

FTP is much stronger than WSdmg in the calculation esp. at current WSdmg levels.

33str vs 26
30dex vs 25
3 ta vs 0
5 da vs 5 da
70 att vs 65 att
200tp vs 11 wsdmg

I'd swap at the last possible second. 2800tp +/- Moonshade.

He tried. He failed.

It isn't at all about your mother. Its all about chemical balances in your brain.

Probably having sex with other guys she prefered over you.
Probably crying 'cause she can't get the guy she preferred over you.

for anyone who is brave (read: bored) enough to do this, buy mask+1 as soon as you hit 500 points, it'll make the next 500 go faster!

It sounds like a setting is causing gpu to stop rendering when FPS reaches refresh rate, which points to some kind of vsync issue.

Nvidia drivers have an "adaptive" and a "fast" setting for vsync, try those.
Adaptive sync experiences the same stuttering at FrameRateDivisor 1.
Fast sync stutters at 1, but when 0 hits a consistent 120FPS.

I ran into this with my new card a few years back (4080) and ultimately I ended up just dealing without FastCS and using NVidia Inspector to lock my FPS to 75. I tried just 60 at first but it still looked off.

75 was high enough to get rid of the stutter, be smooth, but not give laugh-track animation speeds.
Ironically, when I cap FPS to 75 through NVidia and uncap frames through Config, I hit 75 and dip to 57-58 at regular intervals in FFXI. The dip is the framerate I want!

Thanks for the replies. I was going to have the sets when I let the pet do all the work.. Still new to PUP so not sure how often that will happen.

Would it be just one WS set to rule them all or for example should I try to stack DA for Bone Crusher. Not sure If i would need different sets for each WS option. Thanks again.

So I read up till ch218 of Rent a Girlfriend, motivated by some joke of a video review mentioning that chapter.

What is the deal of that chapter? Well, Kazuya was kinda of rejected by the girl MC, and tries to hide how hurt he is.

But the thing is... his mind works weirdly to help him coping with the rejection.

The coping his mind do is portrait the girl MC in lots and lots of sexual scenes with other guys that supposely are better than Kazuya.

The amount of scenes shown was almost borderline full hentai than romcom.

It ends up with him having a *** at pool while crying.

Why Im mentioning this? Well, because I somehow kinda related with this.

Back when I was 16 to 17, I also had a rejection from a girl I liked a little too much. And I kinda of knew she liked another guy that was my colleague at prep school.

I also saw she once kinda of flirting another guy in his store.

Well, all boils down you end up wondering what the girl who rejected you was doing after the rejection.

Probably having sex with other guys she prefered over you.

IDK.

But unfortunelly, I kinda understood Kazuya.

Maybe Freud can explain what is going on with our depraved minds...

I used Tatenashi hands and feet
By ruckusMonster on 2025-06-23 12:22:36
Related question to all this: What do people use for TP sets in the hands slot?

I'm just starting to break into some of the higher tier content and I'm currently using the Tatenashi hands for the sweet sweet Zanhasso but I'm feeling more fragile and wondering if there is something that is considered better these days?

Anyone able to provide me with some explanation to why my Gearswap has stopped working when using macros to cast spells? But works fine when casting the same spells using the menu. Also a way to fix it if there is one.

Do your macros include equipsets? A friend had GS and equipsets and it *** his ***up.

No they do not they are just single line macros "/ma "Haste II" <t>" for exmaple

When using in game macros with gearswap, it depends on how it's written.

using your example
1. /ma "Haste II"<t>
2. /ma "Haste II" <t>

do you see the difference? #1 won't fire Gearswap
#2 will

that 1 space between " and < will make or break your macro
hope that helps

I see the difference, my macro is not wrong because the spell is still being cast, but gearswap doesn’t kick in. If I cast haste II using the spell list, works just fine.

I don't know the details of WHY he said what he did, but to be clear, he didn't say the spell wouldn't cast, he said GS wouldn't fire.

Maybe your macro is correct, idk, but the fact that the spell is casting isn't refuting his point at all. With ***like shortcuts etc, you don't actually have to use proper in game syntax to get a spell to fire.

All fixed, thank you for everyone who tried to help, I appreciate it.

Thank you for the responses so far.

One more thing I observed that could help: when I am capped to 60FPS and I view all active windows using the Win+Tab function,
FFXI's frame rate is consistent within the preview window. The problem returns when the window is restored.

I was stuttering also yesterday at Apollyon, I was thinking maybe from the zone design or the quantitiy of mobs that was pulled wear causing it. I'm on PC.
This is happening everywhere: from my Mog House to the Adoulin AH. Currently, I am testing in the Mog Garden since the issue is quite evident with the ocean waves.

Other games don't have any issue at 60 FPS or otherwise.
I have no such issues with the same software setup. I can go up to 250fps without stuttering.

You did not post any details about your hardware setup, running resolution and graphics enhancements... After all, FFXI is running in an environment it was not designed for.
Laptop, Windows 11 24H2, 14900HX, 32GB, RTX 4070.

Integrated graphics is disabled in the UEFI, but nothing else has been modified from stock configuration. I am running FFXI at 1920x1080 as a fullscreen borderless window. All laptop power save settings and Vsync/Gsync settings are disabled, although the issue occurs regardless of these features.

It's a fresh install of XI with only a handful of basic Windower addons. Dgvoodoo is installed according to the bgwiki page; anisotropic filtering is 4x and VRAM is 2048. I am not using any HD texture packs or replacers.

To reiterate, the only way I've found to get around the issue is to avoid 60FPS cap. Looking out to the ocean at the Mog Garden:
- Config 30FPS cap hovers around 28.7-28.9 FPS.
- Config uncapped FPS hovers around 208-210 FPS.
- Config 60FPS cap hovers around 58 FPS, then dives to 33-48 for one second every few seconds, shoots back up to 58 and then dives again in an endless cycle.
- Config uncapped FPS while using the NVIDIA control panel frame limiter hits 60 FPS, then cycles like above.

Lakshmi.Byrth said: »
This can be caused by addons doing heavy processing in the prerender event. Next time you observe it, try unloading addons until you find the culprit.
I systematically killed every addon and plugin until only the base Windower remained--except Config, of course. No change. :(

if its a dmg varies you can try and build around equipping the TP bonus stuff into your TP set i.e emp hat and reive cape(though capes a tough sell) if its not then id just ignore swapping entirely

But like said thats if the puppets dmg is contributing a good amount, which is getting less and less these days

I don't mind move speed so much in old RPGs, what gets me is the encounter rate. there are so many games from that era I simply won't go back to because of a battle every 5 steps.

if the pet is doing all the work, sure. but if you're meleeing I wouldn't bother, won't gain much dps if any at all with the time spent in bad sets waiting for it to ws

Another random question please. When it comes to Automaton WS sets is it worth it trying to build and make sure they equip right or not worth it now a days?

If it is worth it should I use the ones from the main page or have they changed?

Thanks.
