So i copied this and renamed it to drop_wing (not that that matters) and changes the number for Obsid. Wing, to do the D obj. in sortie but it says "not found" any ideas why?

The code you quoted specifies 0 as the parameter for get_items(), which means to only pull the list from the Inventory bag. The Temporary bag is separate from the Inventory bag. You will need to use the right number on the second line.

Sadly stick shift is going the way of the dodo.

There are, however, companies that still sell new sports cars that are manual only. Not a fan of Porshe's driving style but their gated manual gearboxes are things of beauty.

Also not a fan of sequential transmissions on cars, just feels weird. On a motorcycle of course they make sense, but that's different. On a good sequential you can even shift without the clutch if you match the revs correctly.

There just aren't a lot of manual cars made anymore for the US market. A few are still made in stick but most cars come in automatic by default. It's worth learning IMO if you plan on driving for funsies and want something you can rev up and drive like that, otherwise it's just not as practical as it once was because you can't go buy many off the lot like you could years ago.

I enjoy it a lot and it makes driving more engaging for me, the only time I had problems was driving through Philly. I'm sure the smell of burnt clutch still lingers to this day.

My dad taught me how to drive, as my mom had taught my older brothers, and said that it was dad's turn.

I got my license just fine, but after that Dad said, "You should learn to drive stick. It's a good skill to have. But I'm not gonna just teach you stick like I did driving. You'll have to want to learn to drive stick."

And me, being lazy, and used to him cajoling me inevitably waited for the cajoling that never came.

Other impossible to recreate experience:

In Autumn of 2007 they released the end of TOAU alongside the 2-handed update.

Prior to then the base damage values on 2-handed weapons didn't calculate on auto attack swings or weapon skills correctly, so they were considered/parsed to do way lower damage than MNK or Dual Wield builds.

Never knowing this until then, as I was just a stupid kid, I had made a point to keep my 2-handers up to par, particularly Great Axe, and I had been kicked out of quite a few EXP parties for swapping to Gaxe when I leveled within the party (post level 45, before then, no one cared as much).

So when the 2-handed update landed, I became a God. The initial 2-handed update not only fixed 2-hander base damage to calculate correctly on auto-attacks and weaponskills, but they also decided to make it so that every point of STR and DEX counted as 2 ATK and 2 ACC.

So every SAM and their mother was going apeshit about how SAM was even more of a god than before. But then I showed up to the EXP party on WAR/sam, a verboten combo until then. My crits with a mere Byakko's Axe were doing something ridiculous for the time. I wanna say close to 500 damage per crit. Maybe just over 400? And my weaponskills were also insane for the time. Like 1800 damage Raging Rush, which had also been reworked to be a Crit-hit WS. This meant that double attack rounds with Gaxe resulted in 800~1000 damage from auto attacks, and WAR/sam with just Rajas Ring back then had a 6-hit build, which was something SAM's chased hard at the time with their Domarus and such. This was all at Mamool Ja Staging Point on Mamools and Wyverns. Wyverns were not usually on the menu, but when you're hitting that hard, as hard as God, you eat it all!

Later that same first day evening, everyone was trying to go and do the last ToAU missions. You had to fight Raubahn, of course, and people were saying you had to take Formless Strikes Monks to beat him. Not true, you just had to treat him like the PUP AF fight, and do 51% magic damage to him on his first or second life, and then you could melee him outright from then on.

Alexander himself was a big heal check and positioning check, and he had pretty dang high defense for back then, and the Defense Down WSes didn't really land, so it was kind of hard to overcome. My party was a ragtag group that barely got past Raubahn (by listening to me about his mechanic), and we were doing ok, but towards the end Alexander gets spammy, and suddenly the WHM, RDM, and PLD had no MP and no elixirs, and Alexander was at 14%. "We're not gonna win!" -> Mighty Strikes + Steel Cyclone -> Alexander now at 3% -> Alexander defeated.

The whole week was like this. Just me going from event to party to new thing people wanted to do because it'd be so much easier with the big damage available.

I remember we went UFO farming, Yovra farming, to make a buncha Gorgets and such. Normally you'd want a buffed up Ninja or some BLM gods to take those things out. But in the newly christened 2-hander kingdom, you just buffed me as WAR/nin, and we did enough damage that UFOs Regen over water didn't even matter.

Of course, inevitably they scaled 2handers back, slightly. And that made everyone sad. But for that first week, 2-handers were king, and I was a God. (I'm sure many of you have similar experience if you played 2-hander job at the time. What with this Beta version chads in here)

That's not even a joke, a guy at my gym had a manual and someone tried to steal it, they ended up sending it into a ditch after spending a minute revving the engine with no clue what to do with it.

I hate the loss of manual transmission cars, but especially hate how expensive older manuals have become. I recently bought an 80 series Land Cruiser and the manuals were rare with obscene markup over the automatics. Back when most cars were new, manuals were the downgrade and autos were the upcharge, now it's reversed. Same with cloth seats.

I'd take a cloth seat, manual, poverty pack (manual windows, manual HVAC) over 90% of the cars on the market today. Too bad most of the options that are like that and available in modern day won't be imported to the US for another 25 years.

Let's see... more insane than sitting down and recording FFXI storylines and my own barely coherent rambling... hmm...

I don't think any of this will do, but I'll give it a go.

Back in early 08 I'd joined my 3rd Endgame LS called Vanguard. I cozied up with the officers, and with anyone who'd play the game with me, like I tend to do. I'd earned a ton of points on Diorite farms, and was allowed to get Kirin's Osode and Byakko's Haidate (finally!).

Hip deep in Campaign battle alongside LS lead and some LS mates. Talking and talking, and most assuredly bothering the LS lead. He sort of turned the conversation towards his Joyeuse, and how it'd be good for my WAR to go get one. He was like, "You just have to go get that TOD, and I'm sure folks in the LS might help you. ;)" And after several others listed the merits of getting a Joyeuse, and me thinking, "Oh yeah, hell yeah, if I can get help from LS I'll definitely go camp that TOD!" So I thanked him for his insight, and went on down to Sea Serpent Grotto.

Once there, I was alone, and killing Devil Mantas. Not for too long. Some THF showed up and put themselves at the far wall. Then a NIN and a SMN/whm showed up as well. Thought to myself, "Well, at least if folks are showing up, that means I'm on track to get a TOD." About 4 repops of Devil Mantas later, the NIN and SMN sent me tells asking to team up. I didn't know why they did, but I accepted immediately, and a few minutes later Charybdis spawned. We got it, and basically the NIN and SMN did all of the work. All I did was kill Devil Manta respawns/any agro, and offer the occasional Smash Axe if NIN was having SHadow trouble. Joyeuse is 100% drop, so of course it came into the treasure pool. And the NIN and SMN said to me, "Go ahead and lot this one. Just come on back down to help us out whenever we come down here again." and I gratefully lotted the Joyeuse, and I asked, "Why did you invite me at all though, why did you let me have this? I don't understand, but I'm very grateful." - "Honestly, given your gear, we thought you could kill it by yourself, so we just wanted to team up." Any WAR back then woulda been eating dirt within like 10 seconds of trying to solo Charybdis. They never did ask me to come back down there either, even though I added both of them, and said don't hesitate to call me.

Then I showed up to LS event the very next day, Ouryu V2, with my shiny new Joyeuse. The LS lead didn't speak to me for a week! (I learned then that they were shooing me away with what should have been a herculean task)

The fact you got the 3 Kings titles back then is impressive. They took forever to get to and required an alliance to kill. (if i recall correctly)

Plus you could spent all that time getting there to find out they weren't even up.

They were by far my biggest hurdle to making a Mythic back in the day.

Oh yeah, it's an annoyance. It takes a full minute to spin 11 digits vs 1 second to hit contacts, dial

It was novel though.

Now, manual transmission is more like what you're thinking. I just want a nice drive when I'm too tired to expend energy up and downshifting in traffic. THAT is annoying.
Today manual transmissions are an anti theft device.

Looks interesting!

One bit of feedback I would say is to avoid using the ingame treasury commands as a multiboxer always ends up messing up my settings.xml file. I wrote my own code a long time ago to drop ein lamp:
Code
function drop_lamp()
	local inventory = windower.ffxi.get_items(0)
	for i=1,inventory.max do
		if inventory[i].id == 5414 then
			windower.add_to_chat(007,'Lamp Found')
			windower.ffxi.drop_item(i,1)
			return
		end
	end
	windower.add_to_chat(007,'No Lamp')
end

You are spot on.
I for a moment forgot about the racing issue in treasury and it settings.xml.

I'll fix it in next release.
Really wish treasure saved settings in a file per character rather than a common one would fixed everything

So i copied this and renamed it to drop_wing (not that that matters) and changes the number for Obsid. Wing, to do the D obj. in sortie but it says "not found" any ideas why?

(best guess inventory.max doesn't account for the temp items in sortie?)

I don't think many people on this planet have failed to get a drop from Cargo Crab Colin as many times and across as many years as I have, but I'd love to be proven wrong. That said I never tracked attempt numbers so I wouldn't even know for sure.

first Death Penalty on my server back when salvage statics were a thing , alex was 30k a piece and hard to come by over 12yrs ago.

Then I chased after 1st Terpsichore and Murgleis on valefor.

Theyre no longer the crazy struggle to make like they used to be, im fine with that.
The shared effort and help from friends to make their acquisition a reality way back when you couldn't solo it was a special part of the journey to me.

For buffs skill does nothing.

Not entirely true, it depends on if they have capped skill or not. Lets not forget buffing songs do have a skill cap for potency that needs to be reached like Honor March needs 900 for example.

I'm the reason nirvana is the most popular mythic, why most of you have aeonics, and why summoner *** sucks to play in odyssey and sortie.

I am intrigued and need to know more.

He was the poor fool (i think) that showed off astral conduit/astral flow zerg in a vid which iirc showed schah getting killed in <1min when at the time it was a pretty difficult fight and you had to deal with the adds mechanic

Go on then.

What was it. Mine was 18 months. Bst, all solo.

I low-key loved this part about OG BST leveling. I spent a year behind Garlaige Citadel Banish Gate#2, just charming beetles and killing Bombs. Some days, I'd do it for 30 minutes between classes. It was very fun to pick up and go / kill a few / logout as my free time allowed.

I use hotmail. It was the first email I had, back when I was a kid.

I remember using email a few times to chat with other people. At that time, social media was nearly inexistent (couple of years later they invented the ICQ and Orkut).

Probably Ms Chatty was still a little kid eating candies at that time.

Yes, depends if the addon saves/modifies an xml file.

Same thing happens if you modify things like the config plugin settings across characters, which writes to its xml settings file, treasurepool settings, and anything else dealing with xml files.

This might explain why I spent a good deal of time fighting with FrameRateDivisor when I added a character

Not just from fastcs additional complications

Mine was about 2.5 years, first ended up being pld 75 (which I never once played after getting it to 75).

I didn't get to 75 until after ToAU was released and I started playing before NA release. I ended up soloing SMN from 59 to ~70 until I could get into SMN parties in ToAU. Bombs in Ifrits -> Hpemde -> Snolls in Uleguerand.

I just did missions, farmed gil to try and get all the good gear as I as leveling. Wasted so much time farming silk thread in Buburimu lol.
