That story! It is an I was young and stupid story.
Some background. Drive away cars. Many auto delivery companies would arrange to drive your car from where it was to where you wanted it to be. Some had drivers on payroll, others would give the first driver who wanted to get from your point A to your point B your keys and their best wishes. If point B was the middle of nowhere they might even pay you!
1967. I was 24 and while I was not God's own drunk I was indeed fearless. I had run out of cash for the flight school with the D - 18s and it was time to get back to Seattle. Enter drive away company and the keys to an Oldsmobile 442. OLDSMOBILE 442!!!!
Nighttime Wisconsin. I was wondering why I was whizzing past all these semis as I was indicating 55, the local nighttime speed limit, when a nice state trooper informed I was actually doing 77. It seems the owner had gotten tired of 8 MPG and changed the dragstrip rear end gears for a cruising gear ratio set and not changed the speedometer gearing to match.
Fast forward to Montana. And I do mean fast. 600 miles, 1,000 km, of "Speed reasonable and proper." My speed actually was neither reasonable nor proper. I never did indicate 100 mph she says innocently blinking her eyes.
I spot a pickup truck about 1.5 miles ahead in a two lane section and closing fast. I tap the brakes and find I have none. All of a sudden my engineering studies came back to me and I realized this car, at this speed, weighed less than 500 lbs, traction was at best 50 MPH in my rearview mirror and there was an oncoming car.
I looked death in the eyeballs at over 130 MPH and he blinked. I threaded that needle and never drove near that fast on a public road again. My pulse rate skyrockets just typing this memory although I didn't have time to be scared then.
When I delivered the car to the owner I complemented him on it and did NOT mention the close call in Montana.

Gives HP+10 during the day, MP+10 at night, and 1 stat+5 corresponding to the day (example: Firesday STR+5)
This has always been my favourite odd piece. Potentially useful at 75/Zilart era for multiple jobs, but only 1/8th of the time.

Nice, I have no idea why they removed the ability to add more than 4. How'd you do it?

How about all the rewards from Pulling the Strings that nobody ever uses?
to be fair a good amount of those were pretty good at the time, atleast the DD orientated ones, and the whm/blm/smn ones. If it didnt take ages for the enchantment to both be ready and then activate, and well just doing the ENM which varies from job to job on difficulty, and middling drop chance + weekly entry.

Does anyone have any data they care to share regarding matter drop rate across different levels? We know that the NMs impact drop rate in some way, but wondering if monster level does as well. Thanks!

Not sure if I'd say bahamut is bigger or not but the gap has closed significantly since the shutdown

Did you manually take a snapshot of the data each day? If not, how did you get the time series data?

What's more is the didn't bother increasing the value of unique stats from +3->+4, so there's no reason to believe stats like PDT or Triple Attack would increase either. +4 was just a bump to make JSE1/2 more tanky and relevant as compared to Empyrean +3, with higher eva/meva/mdb/acc/att and some minor attribute increase. If they follow this trend (and +5 is ever announced, it has not been), it might just be another jump in base stats and not the unique ones.

How about all the rewards from Pulling the Strings that nobody ever uses?
I originally felt like I would use these more than I did:

Any time I want poison I'm like well I could wait 30 seconds and use these pants, or I could just use a Poison Potion right now...
Fun tidbit about these rewards. The enchantment effect wears off the moment you swap the gear off. Even the DRK ring for Regain, which is arguably the only useful piece it practically a dud since you have to idle in it.

Half of the jobs on this don't make any sense.
Also Roundel Earring matching the same jobs as Sjofn Earring was a lazy copy/paste.
BST, DRK and PLD have no native Archery skill, but are included in Shortbows like Ullr and Mengado +1
BLM and SMN have less Dagger skill than GEO, but for whatever reason are included on Raetic Kris +1 (obviously because of being on Rune Kris). Ternion Dagger has all of the dagger jobs listed. I assumed this miss is because GEO can't use Kris' but can use Daggers. But then I see Beryllium Kris +1 specifically has GEO listed. Just no consistency/sense.

Also because I like the name:

You lose the effect if you take off the collar.

4000 people online at some points... I know how crowded it gets with 2000 I couldn't imagine double that.

online concurrent players, scripted and generally taken twice a day.
disconnects/internet or power outages and just general life busyness has made it so i've missed a few data-points

Bahamut has more throwaway accounts participating in the AH because it could still be transferred to (until tomorrow). It doesn't have anywhere near the same amount of people logged in at any given time as Asura. Likely the AH accounts will fall off too, but those XIAH numbers always lag a few months anyway.
Where's the data coming from? Is it measuring concurrent online players?

Most gear I thought WTF had a PUP on it.
Mostly the many pieces with refresh that are equippable by mages and somehow PUP.
One example (there are many):

Couldnt you implement a check comparing item ID and name on use? Or is that the same thing wrt pulling resources on load?
I'm sure Lili would provide a better answer but since you'd still need to read the entire items resource to provide the table map, I'd say same thing. Although you could theoretically do this on load and throw an error (or set an error flag) if this one item doesn't match and then unload the table I suppose.

I live in Michigan and we have all 3 major US car companies right here in a 50mi radius. Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler are all right here. This is important because it really distorts our traffic vehicle ratios. We have so many people who will just always buy a new vehicle every year because it helps their companies sales.
But even with that, there is not that many EVs on the roads. Absolutely not enough to tip the scales. Also, all electricity is taxed, so it's not like that gasoline money is 100% missing.
Here in Michigan, we have the most corrupt state level funding crap bills and propositions. We have had multiple increases to our taxes over there years with the promise of "rebuilding our roads". All that revenue increase went on to fund several round-a-bouts in extremely rural areas that nobody asked for. No doubt the contracted construction company is related to Governor Whitmer.
You are correct tho, crooked politicians stealing our tax dollars is a non-partisan issue.
