I disagree.
How much time spent in sortie is dedicated to doing nothing other than running from point A to B? 20-25 min? Thats an extra 20-25 min for galli farm.

No worries, I was on Midnights at the time so wasn't able to help keep everyone together. I think we had a handful of people that came to II but just cause of time frame of playing people started going elsewhere. However, like I said I have gotten the itch to play FFXI again so looking for people to party/team up with again.

So in Apollyon I'm basically down to only caring about:
SAM legs
DRG legs
DNC hands
BLU body
and eventually RNG head and maybe also legs but no time soon.
Temenos there are way more important pieces than there are for AF...
For me it's pretty much the reverse. Tons of AF are so good for macc sets, that you might want to care for a lot of them. At least if you play most of the jobs. |

The point is whenever something takes good hybrid damage and you make use of that, it will be doing 99999 if you are buffed and changing r30 Nyame from path B to C wont change anything for those hybrid WSs.
I realize this is a bit old (hey I was away on vacation), but thought it was worth mentioning...
I don't agree with the premise that whenever hybrids are good, they are hitting 99999, and that's a vital assumption for Simon's reasoning to work. It is very frequent for me to run into situations where hybrids are my best damage WS on NIN, but they aren't capped damage - even in something sort of low key like Sortie with typical BRD+COR buffs, I might be doing ~70k average with hybrids, or less on 4th floor Sheol C. Or in Limbus, with mobs getting more DT, it's highly likely to run into situations where hybrids are NOT hitting 99999 but are still your best option.
For any situations where you actually are seeing very consistent capped damage with Chi/Teki/To, then I see Simon's point. I just don't often see that in real situations. It is also very rare that I'm ever relying on NIN nuke damage. Therefore, I would rather keep the better hybrid WS damage piece (and WSD piece for that slot for every job). I can live with using nuke pieces that are merely second-best to Nyame C. Maybe my decision would be different if I was someone who played... IDK, BLM SCH NIN as my priority jobs, and thought I'd get enough out of a C piece to make it worth trying. That's not my situation though, so I'm happy to stick with B path Nyame.
Just to make it clear I'm not saying NIN should change to path C head. My initial post was pretty clear I think
Career NIN can build legs and switch nyame to path C then. Path C is massive upgrade for MB ninjutsu, while Nyame path B is marginal gain over relic legs.
You CAN, so it's an alternative option. If someone is not using Ninjutsu damage at all, then this option wouldn't make sense.
That being said in your case of 70k avg, with path C it would still be 68k avg. I would also want to know in what setup you are using hybrids on NIN in Sortie where 70k avg damage is better than what you could do with physical options. I don't really see opportunity for hybrids in Sortie beside on Aita/Gartell when they are in right elemental modes. Aita might never be in proper elemental mode and :To can still occasionally (depends on the party composition) do detonation that will heal them.
Savage should easily do much more than 70k on avg with Aria and on E and G it's better to do Zesho for both raw damage and to SC light with Fragmentation WSs like Savage blade.
Once again though, Nyame C is an option to lose few % on hybrids damage and gain like 20%+ on Ninjutsu bursts. If it doesn't fit your playstyle for sure you don't need to switch. |

It sounds like you are confusing income with net worth but I know that you know better than that. The two are basically synonymous if you aren't living on social security. A fat investment in tesla or btc at the right time rolled into a safer asset could definitely increase your income by 7-8x (more, really). This may come as a shock. The vast majority of careful investors did not buy APPL at $7 nor mine BTC when you could do that at home.
So if you own 1m worth of bank stocks, every year you get $50000-$60000 free money without having to work nor take the risks with trading stocks. This relates to the passage at question just how?

The real entertainment is seeing people you know get outed for using NASA or banned duping Salvage, etc. No fun to be had knowing behind closed doors someone is making tons more gall/run than you.

Depends on the fight. Sometimes (ongo) you don't ever wear epeo.
For a lot of stuff though, it's pretty essential.
Low vengeance level stuff is probably fine too.
I don't think it's very important in sortie, especially for newer groups doing mage strat.

For sortie 8bosses (or lower) magic setup, RUN is by far the most favoured tank and Epeolatry is not needed at all.
Arguably some could say you would get better results with augmented Aettir lol.
Physical damage is not really a danger for RUN in sortie 8 bosses mage setup.

Sorry for the misconception, but yes, this is not "legit". It is exploiting a bug I discovered within Sortie around December-January, and was running daily getting about 110k~120k until I quit last month.
We can speculate all day long, but I took this phrasing to mean he found something less commonly known than the warp hacks everyone uses. I'm definitely curious, like him I ended up enjoying breaking the game more than actually playing it, and I didn't develop any tools of my own, just used what was out there. |

I wonder what the highest automated sortie runs are pulling in galli now. 10-15k at most I bet. I'd take that over dealing with other humans until needing mesondrite though.
Hard to know what people have coded and kept to themselves, but I doubt it's that low. It's definitely possible for someone writing code specifically for this use to do 9boss automatically, but it's a tall order. OTOH, 6 or 8 boss wouldn't be that difficult, so I'd be shocked if there isn't already someone pulling 40-50k automatically. Wouldn't really be surprised if there's someone doing a full 9boss, though. 8 boss if ABCD EG sure, the chances of F going awry are quite high if you are not reacting. Unless kiting with PLD I guess. |
