Free run animations can be skipped so it's pretty fast. You can get more bang for your buck if you use speed apples on the races with the three super chocobos (usually in lane 3 if there's one of them and lanes 3/5/7 if all 3). When I felt like it, I'd just do free runs till the cost hit 10k or so. For no good reason, I have hard time stomaching spending more than that.
The other thing is you don't get your chocobucks until you turn in your completion certificate so you can "store" chocobucks in the form of certificates if you approach your chocobuck maximum and don't want to spend any.

In my culture, living with parents even after marriage is a popular choice, about 30%+ of married couples choose to do that. Curious whether that figure is declining, and, if it was, the rate of it.
Not directly related, but it's a funny coincidence that just last night, a relative of mine told me that he just leased an apartment & is leaving his parents' house (something I advised him to do a while back, based on my knowledge of his family situation) after 10 years of living there with his wife and kids, because, well, he is sick of the unnecessary drama, and wants to buy his peace of mind.
My impression is that cultures that encourage married offspring to stay with their parents are ones where parents tend to be overbearing and hence less respectful of the personal boundaries of said offspring (and their spouses), which is quite ironic, because what you need for this kind of situation to work out is awareness of the potential problems, understanding boundaries, and managing conflicts with a reasonable approach etc |

If you knew my mother you would understand. I understand how terrible it can feel and why some people made such choice, due to their feels about their parents.
But the US also has extremely low household saving rate (less than 5% according to Google) compare with other countries (China has 30%+ for example). So I think those cultural behavior and numbers that leads to potential poverty are probably correlated. If you look at American citizen's total savings vs. their total debt I will bet we are negative BIG TIME.
Never have so many been conned into buying so much unnecessary crap on the installment plan.
The biggest loss any American faces is buying a new car then starting it up. And many do this every 3 - 5 years. |

I tuned in after hearing that Al-Hilal equalized, only to witness that 2nd goal happen within a minute lol. Can't commit 2-3 consecutive mistakes like that when the ball is in your court.
GGs Al-Hilal though. They were dominant in the 2nd half, but couldn't capitalize on the chances they created. Good run.

It also depends a lot on the monster type. Stuff like Leeches get demolished to a basic 5-step, but Corse/Corpselights/Skeletons can take over 90 seconds. I should try Judgment on skeletons and see if that's a speed improvement. But so far, Heishi SC/MB is by far the fastest method for kills, and definitely the most effort.
I agree, 5 step is definitely the go to, but qultada is a pain, I have personally found Shantotto II to be better and way less of a pain. She will burst every sc and the damage adds up over multisteps and interrupts sc's far less than qultada becausee shes usually to busy bursting all the time to gain tp. Been using Sylvie/Koru/ShantottoII and its working well. |

The interesting part isn’t that he was cheating, as that didn’t hurt anyone here, or prevented you from succeeding or failing, it’s that for all the tools he used, he only score 130k. Any well organized group does 80-85K 9/9, so the difference isn’t that impressively big.

What's the best way to do kindred bc for rem's chapter 2? I remmember dying to SMN AF sometimes.
I have all jobs but smn pup bst Were gonna need more context on how many PC's and what setup.
I just blast the NM and 90% of the time it doesnt get AF off in time. That other 10% of the time I just eat it knowing ShellV, Barblizzara and a low-tier DT set with modern 119 meva gear will keep me alive. I mean solo and I wasn't sure it was possible to kill and avoid AF or not, rarely do it and haven't done it for years. Gonna try BLU it |

Is this factoring in the new extremely expensive limits on chocobucks?
You'll pretty quickly hit races costing 10s of thousands of gil per run, which means a single chocotrain is gonna cost you several hundred thousand gil, which means 8 of them for a stat increase is going to run you millions and millions of gil (and countless hours sitting and watching that cutscene)
I know it's easy for folks to afk/bot, but if I can just max out my bird with 0 chocotrains needed since Endurance+Receptivity seem very easy to max, I am gonna go that lower effort route.
It's just time gated, but I already have a (worse) bird I dig with, so no reason to hurry. |

Is this a digging chocobo? If it's your first chocobo I'd agree with the Zedoma that you should raise a racing chocobo first so you can earn chocobucks for stats but also for useful racing silks (you need green).
Ive already got a racer, yes.
But are chocobucks even necessary if you only need to max out endurance+Receptivity?
They are "non competing" stats with each other, "Acting in a Play" lowers Strength, not Endurance, afaik right? |

You can totally just not receive that packet my favourite is when this happens in Nyzul on a spec enemies or clear all floor and I dont get the “objective complete” message on the char im focused on, so I waste 15-60 seconds running around looking for something that doesnt exist. |

So since Im on my journey to just almost max out endurance, and then max out receptivity, what do folks recommend for this bird?
I was planning to just do Carrying Packages til I hit 200 endurance, and then swap to Acting in a Play and max out receptivity.
However, I dunno if that will end up overcapping my stats because I already have discernment up (to have learned Treasure Finder)
I think by the time I get Endurance up, Discernment will be zero'd though, and then Acting in a play should drop Strength enough to be fine.
I pretty much dont care about Str/Dsc for a digger bird, and I am operating under the assumption that Bore/Burrow in 2025 are just actively a downgrade for your bird.
The items Bore/Burrow add to the pool seem to detract from the other items, which in turn lowers your odds of getting the actual stuff worth $$$
So instead, just in case it does... something(?) I went with Auto-Regen. Even if it doesnt do anything, I dont mind.
I shouldn't need chocotrains at all to max out Endurance + Receptivity right?

I would suggest doing it as a google doc instead of editing the OP every day.
can probably narrow down the range of variables, like went on a short walk, saw brutus, got X & Y.
short walk w/o any events, only got X.

That being said there's a lot of hateful people on this forum, I wouldn't be surprised if in the next month or so we have a ban wave come through removing this type of player.
I've updated my FFXI withdrawal diagram for 2025, to now include posting *** on FFXIAH, either to decieve people or because they simply can't look themselves in the mirror.
I love this and have to ask myself how many of these I do/did for a game other than FFXI |

you need to use windbg on the bluescreen file
system32 memory.dmp or system32/minidump if you have a fancier setup
inside windbg you really dont need to know what you are looking at only a guesstimate
itll point you at a driver or something and you can get a better idea
feed most of it into an ai like copilot and it will give you some pretty good pointers
come back with the main fault/error that pops up on the bluescreen
