BLU definitely stronger/faster/safer. Just by virtue of not needing to call Ulmia or Joachim for Marches, BLU is better. Self-capping haste is huge, leaves room for Qultada, Koru (Dia3) and Sylvie for fury/frailty. You throw up Nature's Meditation, one Box Step, and Tenebral Crush, and you're going to hit a lot harder than RDM can. RDM can't use Sylvie for Fury/frailty, so the extra trust slot they gain from having their own Haste2/Dia 3 is irrelevant since you still need a second buffer. RDM also won't be able to control crowds like BLU can. They can use Excenmille {S} for his Stag's Call, but that's still not close to the attack advantage BLU would have.

Temper II is good, especially if the BLU doesn't have AM3 to compete, but you're in the same dps situation as BLU with not being able to self SC unless you use Mpu and Ruthless x3? I think running into a pack of mobs, hitting them with Tenebral Crush > Entomb > Stunlock and then spamming Savage Blade is the simplest way to solo farm with Occultation up. Whereas RDM can only single bind/sleep and it would take longer to kill, and would probably need to heal in between attacks or use a healer trust to not get wrecked.

BLU all day IMO.

I don't have Monberaux either, or Ygnas, really lazy/refuse to be forced to jump through the hoops with the time constraints. Using Cherukiki to heal mostly now and even she's reluctant to heal unless you go under 60%.

That is true, Tizona is mostly necessary for self sustaining healer, unless you set Magic Hammer like the old days and steal mana. You could drop Koru for Monberaux, he uses Ethers and will heal you faster than Sylvie. I'm not sure what's up with her AI; She won't immediately cure you when you enter yellow unless she literally has nothing else to do. Once you get to like 50-60%, she will use cure 4, but her real issue is she will never use a lower tier cure if she has the MP to cover c4, even if c4 is on timer. So she will cure you once, then have a very long recast timer on her next cure 4, basically sitting there doing nothing. The only time she'll use cure 3, 2, 1, is if her MP can only support those tiers. I've found that if I'm depending on her for cures exclusively, I'm dead. But between her and Koru, they usually can handle that, so long as I'm not getting wailed on by multiple enemies.

Sortie can be fun, in limited amounts. Going non-stop is just exhausting but going a handful of times per week makes it a lot more bearable. Rimbus is super casual, some people hate that but I like it as a refresher and something to do when bored. Can make progress at your own pace, or also do it with friends without consequence or FOMO.

It's definitely similar to a speedrun, but nothing like a human speedrun and a lot more like a TAS.

Except it's also not like a TAS, because TAS only using TPP to input the controls, not to change the rules of the game (POS hacking).

It's like a TAS that includes game genie codes as well. It's interesting in theory, but once you include that level of automation and breaking the mechanics of the game, it's so far abstracted from the way FFXI is played that it doesn't even resemble being good at FFXI. It's showcasing being "good" at setting up bots someone else wrote.

Yeah those fights were terrible. We only did them to unlock the clears then rely on SCH burst / Ooze to RP farm afterwards.

Like the concept of the fight isn't so bad, but the removing of SJ's plus the dumb under 40% regen was just not-fun. Bumba V25 was full on trolling the player base.

Time mage, 45% magic haste in one spell, can give slow that stacks with slow and elegy to help NIN tank omega and ultima.

Rune is disappointing compared to magic Knight in FF3.

XI has such a stellar soundtrack with majority of the themes being so beautifully crafted to suit the places (and battles) they're utilized. Difficult to pick just 1, so I here's my (pretty normie) picks for each expansion. There are some superb fight and boss themes too of course (Ragnarok is probably my favorite boss theme), but the zone themes tend to edge ahead for me.

It's for sure not better in uncapped attack scenario and for over capped attack it only provides less than 0.5% base damage (for Expiacion). Considering 5%DA, Nyame's avg is higher even for over capped attack.

Chelsea is definitivelly the luckiest club in the cup.

Avoided City and Inter clash, won against Benfica in the extra time due to red card, and had 2 brazillians that were weaker in terms of players.

Also, managed to avoid the big clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern and PSG till the final match.

I guess ask 10 different people get 10 different answers. the v25 atonement 3 fights were the best fights IMO. Truthfully the most fun and challenging single fights I have ever done and enjoyed. I still remember getting the first v25 Ongo down on Asura, and just like sweating all over watching the timer count down and trying to get the last 1%. Getting a double wild card luck, the silence on the discord on the last skillchain. Adreline took hours to wear off.

Actually, if you aim to complete Sortie, you're looking at:

1. All empy+3 80000*22*5 = 8.8M muffins.

If you earn 40k gallimaufry/run, that is 3,628 runs, which is 9 years, 11 months and 3 days.

Also, I didn't factor in Ruspix because getting 1 run back/every 2-3 weeks of going every day, is just as gross as this entire exercise.
