In that case, I think its best to remove the functionality altogether and only use the mob array that Windower makes available without the packet injection.

Trust equipment? I hope they get their own inventory if they do that.

How should SE represent it?

Well they shouldn't. You should represent it by being good, and encouraging/teaching others to also be good :)

You make a shout for Sheol C, a WHM joins, your party enters, and you see the WHM is full-timing a warp ring and Ambu gear. What do you do?
I make the most of it, and earn whatever Segments/Gil I can earn :)

You make a shout for Sheol C. A WHM joins. They're R30. You enter. What's this, they're /dnc? They pull hate on a Halo mob on the 2nd floor and die without Reraise.

What do you do?
1-why did they pull hate over proper DD? Says more about you than them (other than the no-RR part)
2-theyre R30, thats the pinnacle of skill and they definitely earned it unlike those filthy ML50 no-skill botting scrubs.
In Nynja's world, the DD tank the Sheol mobs/attack the same one as the melee WHM, and the tanks can tag all 40 or so mobs on the 2nd floor in the mass pull >_>

(but our solution was to raise him with the Raise Helmet from that one seasonal, and keep on trucking)

20+ helix, 90 sec per helix = 30 minutes minimum

No ones nerfing helixes over this
By Vyrerus on 2025-10-15 14:58:42

Just make people beat you in Ballista first. EZ
By Genoxd on 2025-10-15 14:54:08

This is normally about the time I’d record myself making fun of them and put it on YouTube.

To be fair though I’d make fun of the r30 person more than the ambu gear person.

I'm not entirely against movement focused gameplay but I find the way they did it in XIV with the colored shapes on the ground low effort, I'd much rather have it telegraphed with distinctive animations sort of like they do in the souls games.
Also movement in XI is clunky and tic rate too low for this type of gameplay.

Trust upgrade system in the works for years? You guys sure it wasn't just that marjory NPC quest or rhapsody KI stat improvement?

they'd be fine for the Japanese base, but players on other continents will run into that pesky issue of the monster not actually being where our client says it is.

That's like half of why moogle ambuscade sucks so much even after modifications to make it more forgiving. Devs are in Japan, servers are in Japan, testing is never going to account for the latency inherent in communicating with a player in North America.

You should try that from Europe.. it's a ***show. Talking 2sec delay from button press to action. Moogle ambu is an instant skip. It's why dyna lag isn't that big of a deal - that kind of delay is on everything whether instanced or not.

IMO things like limbus NMs are fine-ish, minus the lack of rewards. Their health doesn't regen if you wipe, you can take an alliance or three and fight them and be no worse off because they cheat and do TP -> 1hr -> TP -> 1hr back to back to back anyway so just expect you'll die a few times.

I'd expect some of them to get hit by the nerf gun a few months down the line.

Make it have position mechanics like FFXIV

That's literally the thing I dislike the most about XIV.

Just fights that have you react to things in a certain way could be fun, except... well, we kind of tend to just shop that out to addons, as anybody who's watched people lying on the floor and still turning away from the lamiae in ambuscade can attest.

Anything that involves actually moving to specific positions though... basically impossible unless they're highly scripted. Oh, they'd be fine for the Japanese base, but players on other continents will run into that pesky issue of the monster not actually being where our client says it is.

That's like half of why moogle ambuscade sucks so much even after modifications to make it more forgiving. Devs are in Japan, servers are in Japan, testing is never going to account for the latency inherent in communicating with a player in North America.

That said... I'd love to see more fights that expect a bit more engagement than just "hit button when gauge is filled, turn if you see this in the log." Honestly even something as simple as "it has DT-90% against magic and attacks, DT-50% against skillchains, and DT-25% against magic bursts" would be refreshing.

What happened to the "trust upgrade system" or whatever it was?

IIRC rumor mill says it's slated for sometime 2026 but don't recall if they definitively stated its in the works or just something they've been discussing.

I want more 'real' alliance content.
You're getting that before the end of the year in the form of Omega and Ultima!

I have a video to watch later discussing: "Why is Dandandan so successful?"

As I didnt watch the video yet, I dont know the youtuber opinion, but if I had to guess, two possibilities:

- Momo
- Good animation.

The first reason is a no brainer: girls sells like water in the desert when it is about an audience mostly male.

The second reason I noticed just recently. I mean, obviously, a good animation will always add to a story, but I wasnt aware how much impactful it is.

I would go as far as to say the story quality can even be secondary if the animation is good.

For example, I always considered Demon Slayer a very mid story. So much I can barely remember the overall arcs and never felt like rereading. But the well done animation made it one of the most successful animes in a long time.

Dandandan has a very good girl protagonist and very good animation, what are the sure way to the success.

Seems everyone has a good opinion, but since everyone wants to be right, they refuse to see it any other way. I kinda agree with everyone and disagree as well. I hate XP loss, but you should gitgud you crybaby loser *** scrub, I delevel so hard on Bumba on mnk its still 49, Maybe it deserves to be 49 because I am lazy. I think we all agree that Maletaru meme was fire tho

can they skillchain and magic burst?

What is that, some kind of 75 cap joke I'm too ilvl119 to understand?

Aside from, like, three fights, skillchains and magic bursts are dead and buried. Pretty sure Naegling's listed as cause of death.

I'm usually pretty impressed by the R25 ML50 warriors who savage blade crabs/lamia/pugils in segs.

Some people say they bought their accounts/had everything merced, but I think they are next level min/maxers.

The type of player who pulls an entire room of fomors in an aminon idle set to take the maximum amount of damage and inevitably die without ever putting reraise.

We all know at least one.

Competence recognition is what the new master trials are designed for. Basically no one has cleared August or Chaos/Bahamut (literally no one in the case of the latter). Of course, this is most impressive to people only tangentially connected to modern FFXI, but it was interesting enough that the FFXIV world race coordinator wanted to talk to Bigtymer.

For players in the thick of endgame who would rather not spend several weeks working on August for a level 1 weapon, this might not have the same luster. I think Vyre hit the nail on the head with what he mentioned in this case.

The ultimate skill test is whether you agree with me or not.

Do note that whether people got banned for it or not, using packets this way 100% qualifies as an exploit, so make the disclaimer REALLY BIG and make sure users know what they're using.

That's right you two.

Panta is Henry.

Nynja is Ferrari.

Why would you shout for sheol C, that sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Probably blame myself then ask them if they've done sheol C before. Then suggest we do B instead and if the party doesn't like that, go home to bed and rethink my life choices.

While its very understandable being attracted by me, I think it is also very questionable the choosen supportive cast
