Miss you much, also. Oh, no. We only had high winds. Nowhere close to anything the coast received. Our coastal haunt was completely battered as it made land fall unfortunately. My husband and one of his buddies made the trek south to render aide.
I might need to fish out some pics of Port Aransas. It's wild. Liquor store was demolished while the Mom and Pop candy shop across the street remained completely in tact. If there is a God, we're glad s/he is flummoxed by the notion of a spaghetti joint on the beach. Obliterated! Who honestly goes to the coast to eat spaghetti anyway?
The stink bugs are as wily as ever. Got the oldest into soccer. Of course, it's just herdball at this juncture. Can't really complain. Are the girls giving you guff?
Ugh. East Texas. Yes, so many churches. I guess you went to visit the padre?

I miss you. Was worried Harvey swept you out into the gulf. you should pop in and say hi more often, for my sake, if nothing else.
Nothing really great to report here. Teaching myself more german on my phone. playing minecraft with kids, and being terrified at how fast they grow. there's probably a lot more to report over the course of 10 months, but I can't recall any of it at the moment.
OH! I spent some time in eastern tejas... so many churches...

When I go to visit the in-laws up there on the border of the USA and Canada, they got a Cracker Barrel and a Bob Evans across the highway from each other. It’s like a breakfast paradise.
Perkins is my go to place when I get a hankerin for redneck breakfast foods....
when your defective hillbilly genes lust for six kinds of breakfast meat... and the country gravy level in your blood is low... come on down to Perkins for our heart stopping smasher platters and omelets as big as your head.... |

It is a joke here but his cousin sister does treat me real nice...
There’s not a whole lot to do in Oklahoma you pretty much have to leave the state to find anything interesting... I went to a place called brick town in ok. One weekend as I’ve been told it’s the happening area and all you can really do is go to a movie theatre, a country music star themed restaurant or this kiddy gaming place that has mini golf.. there is a sort of a water park but that’s only open on certain days and there’s a minor league stadium there as well but also closed most of the year lol...
I’m in Austin atm though so I’ve taken a break from that life lol... I've only been to brick town during the day, so the bars and ***weren't open but I did see a couple of the girls from Whiskey Chicks eating at a place called "Fuzzy's Tacos" (actual name) other than oddly named places to eat....I can't think of anything else to do.
If you're wondering about that big, odd thing over the highway, it's supposed to be a bird. I don't see it either. |
