Perhaps because even the healthiest of dogs will eat some *** -- literally or figuratively -- and then hork it back up in the most inconvenient place. Normally your shoe or white carpet (which you were dumb enough to buy with a kid and a dog, MOM).

Serendipitously, while that was the cliché phrase that popped into my mind to use but I too was wondering this very thing Saturday while in a NyQuil-induced stupor.

maybe it started as 'sick' as in gross. I don't know that I've seen another species of critter eating ***. Like "ole' phil likes to pay prostitutes to pee on him" /nods "he's sick as a dog" then squares ran with it and made it about feelings.

I blame meshi for excepting good tithings in the form of food.

We're getting all the christmas food in from other companies as gifts. crab, mini-sammichs, spinach dip, bagels, cookies, chocolates, it's a fatty trying to diets nightmare over here right now. I'm lovin' it.

So no real lunch plans of any kind, I shall graze like cow.

I was sick as a dog Monday, so yesterday was my first day of work, and we're doing a Chinese Christmas lunch tomorrow (go figure) so my Jewby Tuesday was pushed back to today.

All that to say, today's lunch is a ham sandwich and some potato chips.

I partitioned a small part of my brain to work on it off line in the background... I typically have a pretty solid plan by now. It's the execution of the plan that I have a hard time with... sometimes waiting until christmas eve to dash out into the crowds and melee my way through...

Thank god the Mrs has been helping me this year with short dashes early in the morning before work this week....

Got her a pair of mukluks to wear to take the dogs out....
