Some optional upgrades would be:
Hoxne Ampulla
TP Bonus Club offhand
Crep Earring (more Acc and dont need DA w/ Hoxne)
Then you could also swap neck for Null neck and Ring for 2nd Chirich +1. You'd lose 5 DT for a fat sum of Accuracy
For 99% of content I feel like 45% DT is good enough in a TP set.

The body hands legs and feet replace the current "BiS" option by a small margin. Whether or not that small margin is worth the price tag and months of limbus grind to you is another question entirely.
If you already had the prior good stuff, R30 nyame, Ashera, Bunzi hands/hat, Volte legs etc. then I'd recommend you do these pieces further down the line rather than rushing them, but to each their own.
At +1 rather than +2 you're simply missing 1 STP/DT/Crit/Acc/Atk etc. per piece. The Augment of DA will remain the same

Is it worth it for a bard to get the whole limbus +1 set?

What is the optimal all-around ranged team setup using a RNG and COR?
Arebati-like setup, Run/Pld Rng Cor Geo Brd Sch.
A good rng is easily 60+% of dmg compared to an equally good ranged cor.

Im finishing editing my first playthrough video with Capcut, and it is working pretty nicely.
Honestly, Im pretty satisfied with it so far. The result is about what I was expecting.
Only thing I need to finish this edition is to draw some unique art for the cover. Gonna need to keep using my poor paint skills until I can finish my Blender course, when I will take my creative production to a new level

nobody thought of it yet, so I took the steps to do it! We love our DD WHM's. Now they are going to be bringing it with this set. The all new, multi hit, STP, DT, mother f-in max gear haste settt. BiS TPing for physical WSing, example Black Halo. If going with magic WS route, example Flash Nova, I'd suggest Daybreak in your off hand and Bunzi's Rod R20+ in the main hand.

is there literally ANY real use for having the BLM/SCH/SMN set? Maybe one piece of it is BiS for SMN but without any Magic Burst on any of it, does it have any use on BLM or SCH?

Quote: Could a veteran Ranger assist me with making range attack macro?
I missed some discussion here I see. It's been a while since I checked this thread. You don't need the wait in those macroes, and you can do it without gearswap as well. The simplest and most effective ranged macro for me is a combination of /console exec command and an in game equipset
/console exec "Preshot set name"
/ra <t>
/equipset "midshot equipset number"
That's all you need. The console exec will swap the full gear set for your preshot, and the in game equipset will load your midshot immediately after. You'll get the full snapshot without missing a beat in your midshot. I've been using this method for years and it's worked flawlessly. As an added bonus, I use a naming convention for my midshots that allows me to easily swap between no flurry, flurry 1, and flurry 2. I just change the F0 to F1 or F2 at the end for flurry midshots as needed.
Oh, and if anyone is wondering, when Pinaka scores a triple damage proc on a barrage it does indeed affect the entire barrage. We've all seen the annihalator barrage screenshots hitting capped or near capped damage so I'm sure I don't need to post any proof of it. Pinaka works the same way. I took ranger out for this month's lamia ambuscade and was reminded of that a few times so I figured I'd throw it out there.

Quote: I was thinking PLD/SCH/RNG/COR to start with and leaves 2 spots for either GEO, BRD or RDM?
I don't really know the purpose of SCH in a ranged setup if only the PLD is in range and needing any heals. PLD doesn't need a lot of healing to begin with. RDM can flurry and sub WHM for heals, if the goal is to keep the PLD alive. RDM provides more support for that particular party's needs vs SCH imo. Enfeebles, Dia3, Cures, sub -na, Phalanx. GEO can essentially cover the same role too with RDM or WHM sub, but with Fury/STR/AGI/Frailty added on top. I think RNG COR COR PLD BRD RDM or GEO would be phenomenal as a 6 box (think one of the Master Trials comps uses something like this). Multiple RDs, WCs, Triple and Double Shots.

OK so GEO is in unless content has nerfed bubbles.
BRD with minuet songs more value over RDM? How easy/hard is it to reach attack cap with ranged damage?

Mini update. I finished crafting shield, so I dropped my medal of Altana to put me on rank 8 before i completed it to see what happened, and I did go back up to 9. so Medal of Altana is NOT a hard req for rank 9. (1022 titles using Kaytes addon)
Thank you for doing this. Your observation also lends itself to the idea that a hard requirement for ranking up can be X of Y conditions. We know that titles (and perhaps fanfare music too) give us Points. As we accumulate points, we probably also need a number of Milestones within FFXI. For the sake of argument, I'll name some of make-believe Rank Up Milestones right now:
Rank 10 all nations,
RoV complete
Combat/Magic Skills complete
500 RoE including AF RoE quests,
Crafting Shield
50 Monstrosity Monsters unlocked
Chocobo Digging to level 3
...This list goes on and on...
...etc etc.
It is very possible, and very likely that Mastery Rank is merely a number of Title Points PLUS 2/4/6/8/10/.../18/20 out of these 20+ possible milestones.
I'm using this knowledge to see how far I get with Mastery Rank before dinging my last job to ML50.

Everyone overlooks garliage. That place has density. and they link. and no AoE. (bombs, but theyre not going to get tp)
Easily 10x better than rala and they're 99-101ish too
(it could be equal to CN_S if they made that an apex camp in GC_S) I honestly, genuinely, had no idea until right now there were high level bombs in Garlaige at all. And they're apparently named Kaboom? This keeps getting better. (Also, they're level 91-96 so not great for the final stretch?)

Even less if you consider BRD was also resisting every sleepga, but she had 15 dark resist from belt on top of 706 meva.

And for Lino’s, I have 3 DA/QA atm, would it be better to swap the DA for 4 STP?

Pointing out the obvious - difference between your resisted and not resisted sets is 117 meva. That's not a huge difference.
I heard people saying that much meva won't make a difference for things like limbus trash mobs. Yet..

I always complained how lazy it was my mother beef cooking.
She just pick the meat, drop in the fridge and that is it.
But today I started to look at it in a new perspective:
What if I stop thinking she actually cooked a beef but instead she just brown it?
So I grabbed the meat, added salt and garlic, then fryed it.
I guess this was the trick all alone. Now I finally can have an edible meat at home

In practical terms, people are looking at information overload. They want to know if the gear is worth getting. Almost every piece is worth getting if you plan to augment it, which means the important question isn't whether you'd use 5/5 but which single pieces give the most value.
This is kinda hard to tell atm, because some people think augments on hands and feet suppose to be on legs and head. We need at least one R30 for whatever of those slots for any sets and that should be enough info to assume every set follow the same rule.
I think you can still generalize the category. 43 m.eva across 5 pieces is considerable if you're not at floor or ceiling, but there isn't a whole lot of content (if any) where those actual values are the meaningful difference. It's the same trap as onion sword III: looking at the generalized mechanics of the game rather than what situations actually exist.
Like I wrote in my previous post with example of 135lv Ahrimans in Limbus. With 799 meva (no dark resist), I was able to fully resist everything from them and on my bard which had 706 meva and +15 dark resist, she resisted almost all sleepga too. Now my WAR with 674 meva only resisted one out of several sleepgas and my COR with 682 meva was slept every time.

No need to be rude thorny. You'd literally have to get 5 matters in each zone every week to get 5 pieces to rank 25 in 6 months. Luck has its limits. Nobody is THAT lucky, even if you throw in a few NM kills along with the weeklies.
