Was semi-recently made aware of her work after she did an interview on NPR, which is what I listen to in my truck when my Bluetooth speaker dies because regular music doesn't play well with my busted-*** truck speakers, and radio commercials make me want to strangle small, innocent things.

She's not something I could make an every-day listen, but I like her work.

I almost activated monday morning pity party protocol. I went and saw the St. Vincent show over the weekend. Got signed poster, got signed vinyl, ran back out to cow country. It was lovely.

If I don't have Niko to yell 'WHAT?!?' at it's going to get pretty boring in here pretty fast.

So yesterday my boss got "reassigned" and I got a new boss who i'm not too sure if he's qualified for the role. He's a good guy but I am just not sure of how well he'll perform as a manager. At the same time afaik, 2 people of my 7 person team decided to take a job elsewhere. of the 7 people on the team ~ only 4 of us do any real work and we're losing 2 of those 4. So i'm semi stressing out cuz of work but also i got the new house stuff D:
had to get in touch with the builder to go over all the misc items that are under warranty or that couldn't be completed before closing. just got a lot of stuff going on at once.

so yeah basically just want to get away from it all for a little bit once stuff quiets down.
