yeah please, godhands are kind of like a hand with fingers and the shards are supposed to curve into the leg like a hand but for me they go the opposite way. I wanna see if it's just a bug with dressup or something.
By Richybear on 2026-03-26 15:55:08
I do, but won't be home for a couple of hours. Assuming you want screenshots of engaged/idle type thing?
By detlef on 2026-03-26 15:42:20
Honestly think it's just luck. Our tank claims to have a foolproof method, and when he gets dispelled it's because Aminon didn't move right or he messed up his pathing. Also know someone who's just starting out on Aminon avoid the dispel without doing anything special.
By Goltana101 on 2026-03-26 15:00:53
I've heard conflicting information about how to "guarantee" a dispel, and none of it is a guarantee.

-Pull from an angle
-Do a loop
-Run back, then forward on warp in
-Turn FP mode on

I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a flat 50/50 rate and "pulling correctly" has nothing to do with it. Maybe he just always dispels the puller a certain percentage of the time. Has anyone avoided dispel without doing any running away gimmicks?
By RadialArcana on 2026-03-26 15:00:08
Does anyone have god hands for Taru? I'm making a mod and looking at it on different races and they are backwards on taru when not engaged?

pull correctly
Is there a consistent way to avoid the full dispel? I typically just wait until his 2nd auto attack and then move to about 11-12 yalms out of range and that gets me to avoid it about 50% of the time, but avoiding it 100% of the time would be nice.

FFXI engine does it's own mipmapping and should be allowed to do so through the windower configuration settings. Trying to use Dgvoodoo2 to override the game engine and have DX11 auto-generate mipmapped textures separately can produce unpredictable results. The same goes for anisotropic texture filtering.

Both should be app driver, with no driver overrides enabled. Dgvoodoo2 will then pass through the FFXI engine settings into DX11 without any modification and things will just work. I have Dgvoodoo2 passing into Reshade with some very nice postprocessing effects.
By Dodik on 2026-03-26 13:17:03
I would suggest setting mip mapping to off.

While Saevel is right, mip map at anything but off creates shimmering. Enabling it is also a huge performance hit.

Not discussing utility, just discussing whether it works or not.

Sure, its useless knowledge because as soon as someone else tags the mob, the debuff bubble will fail to take effect until the GEO gets back on hate list.

Is there any applicable use case for this to matter? Not that I can think of. If GEO aggro pulls mobs, drops a geo-vex bubble on one expecting it to affect all the mobs as they're smacking the geo with 0 enmity, and turns out they're not suffering from macc down, it might matter.

It has nothing to do with "is this information useful", it has everything to do with "is this information correct".

Those born in darkness fear not the judgement of the light for they've never seen the monsters that lurk amongst them for who they are. They've only ever lived with them. Judged them based upon who they've been regardless of their skin.
Only those that bathe in the light fear those they've deemed unworthy based on sight.

I was most disappointed by how little the server upgrades seemed to effect anything… also these new dev tools are just… sitting around? Also it seems SE acknowledges they had a huge influx of players coming into the game but aren’t devoting any more resources to strike the iron while it’s hot.

My takeaway from this was:

We made network and server improvements but we still have to lock servers with 2k peaks even though we could hand multiple 3k servers in 2006. And maybe we might consider, maybe… perhaps(depending if corporate lets us) consider some sort of incentive for you to leave a mega server… but we don’t want to make it unfair or something. Maybe 2% off or something.

No, we can’t have cross server things. We looked at it, and said no can’t be done. Maybe matchmaking - probably not though.

Your year long limbus grind is because its solo content for good gear(even though you can solo 8-10k in sortie easily for 40 days and get a full set of +3, or team up to get in 10 days)

REMA are optional, so we won’t do any sort of balances with them. Kikoku is of lockstyle anyways. We will not equalize some of the REMA grind because other players might get upset. You will eat your mythic grind.

Yes, qualtada will continue to interrupt your SCs and yes, he will use refresh roll. No, trusts abilities won’t be buffed with attachments… but their acc sure will.

RSE+1 will not move onto +2 unless there’s some future crossover event which isn’t likely to happen, literally “don’t invest your time if you’re hoping for an upgrade.” As it’s meant to be starter gear.

We talked about sunseting XI but then we got all these new players and thought… we really gotta milk this.

We have BIG things planned, for 2027. Stay tuned for that next year.

I also will not be a trust like Matsui-p.

Only the poor and the peasants make decisions based in things like money or profit.

When you move up the hierarchy, maybe money isnt the most important thing to consider

Dont be that naive and bow to mighty lord AI while you can!
By palladin9479 on 2026-03-26 10:06:37
Those values should be set to "app driven", meaning DgVoodoo2 doesn't explicitly set any of those values and leaves it up to the application or drivers. If "app driven" is giving you issues, then the root cause is likely a global driver setting which acts as a default if nothing else is provided.

Gil removal tactic. Like bonanza marbles, except this time you get plaudits instead of inventory -1 or -2 for a month.

Just be glad they didn't make the moogle charge for initial eggs

edit: this might not be entirely conclusive since it was with indi and not geo. I never picked up any easily deducible geo-debuffs and I'm too lazy to look up where to get geo-poison/para

Why would this matter? Indi is a self-cast debuff, it's the perfect thing to use to test a Geomancy proc during an aggro. The moment you use a GEO spell you will tag that mob so you would need you observe the behavior on a second or third mob. The Indi poison test was simple enough to suggest aggro alone does activate Indi.

Regardless, Wotasu's claim is true that you can initiate Geomancy from aggro alone but that it's lost the moment aggro is lost to a hate action from someone else, impractical or not. I don't really see a use case here for it, it was suggested by that other guy who got banned because he's probably doesn't have a clue how it works either. And Toralin misunderstood, that's all.

Rumors that a couple AI slop generators have been shut down
It wasn't because slop, it was because of ... unprofitably would be putting it mildly. If you are using a small city's worth of electricity and water you need a positive cashflow and wankers making cheap porn or cheaper memes won't pay the bills.
Doesnt matter
Shut down
Does matter. All the moneyed tech bros were pouring billions into AI because WAVE OF THE FUTURE!!! Which it might be someday but today AI doesn't generate enough cashflow to keep the lights on.

but if it produced useful things, it would've been profitable

it isn't because it produced slop
AI produced useful stuff and slop. It also sucked up resources at a stupendous rate. What it didn't produce was revenue.

Maybe now we will see less hype about that WAVE OF THE FUTURE!!!! crap.

Oh, BTW say goodbye to the metaverse too.

Idk when or how this testing was done, but I had the opposite experience. Pulled mobs in sortie basement by aggroing on GEO, got 0 paralyze procs.

Sortie has geo debuff nerfs, why would u wanna test it in there? ... could test it anywhere else.

Isn't it ironic how you're lazy to check such a simple thing, yet you're willing to write all these answers? Can you see it...?

Geo-Para Fei Yin, Geo-Poison East Ronfarue.. it wasn't hard xD
Takes 5 min to test what I tested
Takes much longer for me to look up where to get those easily noticable geo-debuffs, unlock it, then redo test.

For someone calling me lazy, i havent seen you do anything.

the SAME ITEMS BUT MORE EXPENSIVE FOR NO REASON. AND THEN MAKE IT PART OF VANABOUT TO GET CHEATED."

That is the part I object to.

The reason is that the goblin hours are only 11-22 I think (limited hours) so they wanted another way to obtain them at any time.

I guess they could have changed the hours of the goblin npc instead but they didn't want to do that for some reason.

keep in mind everything is a separate model, shoes, legs, hands, body, head, hat (hat models kills part of the head model when worn too)

It's definitely possible with Noesis, there were some people selling them over facebook a while ago:

If nobody else chimes in, maybe ask in the ffxi modding discord:

I think altana viewer had an export function. There are other methods, including extracting animations, but I no longer know them of the top of my head. I suspect you can still find the methods on the bluegartr forums.
By RadialArcana on 2026-03-26 08:09:52
I rarely use dgvoodoo that often, but I believe off or app-driven for mipmaps (if you have the plugin)

The problem with dgvoodoo is it can stop screenshots saving (which is why i don't use it much), but it does fix issues like z-fighting (the little shimmer textures on your characters armor or on birds wings etc) among other things.
