Since the early implementation of Same-region Player Matching, we have received multiple reports from players on the Japanese data centers regarding issues such as errors occurring when registering a Party Finder listing and delays when displaying the Friend List or Adventurer Plates.
Upon investigating these issues, we confirmed that although we had significantly enhanced the performance of Cross-world functionality in preparation for the advance implementation of Same-region Player Matching, some safeguards related to server processing limits were still using processes from before those performance enhancements were made.
As a result, the system was unable to deliver the level of performance intended to support Same-region Player Matching, causing errors and display delays with certain Cross-world features.
■ Issue Causing Errors When Registering Party Finder Listings
We confirmed that this issue could be addressed without performing maintenance, and the necessary measures have already been implemented. After monitoring conditions during today's peak hours, we have confirmed that the system is performing as intended without issue.
■ Other Issues
We have confirmed that when using Cross-world features to display information about, invite, or send a Tell to a character on another World, the process of checking that character's latest online status takes longer than expected if the target character is offline.
Delays are primarily occurring when performing the following actions:
- Retrieving the online status of a character on another World via the Friend List
- Displaying the Adventurer Plate of a character on another World
- Sending a Tell to a character on another World
- Inviting a character on another World to a Cross-world Linkshell and similar actions
*The above applies when the target character is offline at the time the action is performed.
Since maintenance is required to address this issue, we will be conducting a brief maintenance tomorrow limited to Cross-world functions.
