I never understood why people join movements like that. I mean I always enjoyed people that think for themselves. Not people that have to be a part of some movement.

Men are looked upon as defective women from their view. Yet they complain when men don't take charge or take action. It's called having your cake and eating it too.

The current trend of the Feminist Movement is rather irrational, and completely illogical

They wanted the same voting rights and freedoms as Men. Done.

They wanted to be included in activities that were predominantly dominated by men, to prove they can do it. Done.

They wanted equal pay for equal work. In Progress, though arguably Done.

They wanted equal chance to become breadwinners for the home. Done.

they wanted to be considered independent. Done.

The list goes on for what was needed to be done for human equality (on the base level).

Now, it's more like this:

Someone offers to hold the door open for them at a starbucks, because they have their hands full, and now they start swearing up a storm because they didn't need some "misogynist pig" to do it for them. (This has happened to me)

Oddly enough, it's been argued that it is, because the perception is that you're only holding the door open because she's a woman, and you want in her pants.

I hold the door open for whomever is behind me. It's just common courtesy. Whether it be some toothless hillbilly drunk, or some big boned woman.

I do most of the time, within reason, or sometimes beyond reason.

At times I'd just feel bad for seeing them try to job so they aren't making me wait.

Then again: there's the Canadian standoff.

I don't see the point of waging a "war" against men or women.

What do they expect to gain by constantly moaning about men ?

They want sympathy from other women ? They want men to be puppy dogs that do exactly as women say ?

I don't get it.

Its about passing responsibility for every perceived ill onto another person. In the case of feminism it's about making men responsible and thus accountable for anytime any female fails for any reason.

Insisting that no women be held accountable for any of her actions has to be one of the most sexist things possible.

Replace feminism with liberalism and female with democrat, then add white in front of men.. Pretty scary huh.

Breaking News - straight from the science section of the Huffington Post.

Quote:
For one-night stands, size does matter, but it's not penis length that women are concerned about — it's girth, a new study suggests.

In the study, 41 women viewed and handled penises made on a 3D printer. The models were blue, and ranged in size from 4 inches long and 2.5 inches in circumference to 8.5 inches long and 7 inches in circumference. They were asked to pick which of the 33 models they would prefer for a one-time partner, and which they would prefer for a long-term partner.

For one night stands, women selected penis models with slightly larger girth, on average, than those they selected for long-term relationships.

But there was no difference in length between the penises they preferred for one-time partners versus those they preferred for long-term partners: In either case, women tended to choose penises that were about 6.5 inches long.

Late last year, Melissa O'Rourke found out that her employer, Trader Joe's, would no longer be offering health care coverage to part-time workers like herself. As of 2014, O'Rourke would have to find her own insurance plan under the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare.

The company's widely discussed policy change, first reported by The Huffington Post, prompted a bit of soul-searching on O'Rourke's part. She had spent about nine years working for the grocer -- several years longer than she'd anticipated when she first came on. A change seemed long overdue.

By the end of January, O'Rourke had enrolled in Obamacare and left the Trader Joe's crew.

"Honestly, the health insurance was one of the the few things keeping me there," O'Rourke, 37, said.

For decades, health coverage in the U.S. has been closely linked to employment. The vast majority of Americans have received health coverage through their jobs and will continue to do so in the Obamacare era. But they no longer have to.
