Villager duplication:

There's an NPC in town who will give you a free villager when you talk to him a couple of times. You can abuse the way that the village saves its data and duplicate this villager.

Instructions:

1) Save your game at the Adventurer in town.

2) Speak to the villager NPC until he gives you your free villager. He's located on the stairs between the magic shop and the equipment shop. You need to be passed the first boss in order for him to give you the villager.

3) Go back to the Adventurer and choose "Save Game", but do not actually save the game. Instead, choose "To Title"

4) Reload your game.

5) Speak to the villager NPC again, he'll give you another villager. Repeat this process over and over until you get your desired number of villagers. Only 20 villagers can be brought over to the full game, but you can get up to 999. I made 50 of them and none of the building projects took more than 15 mins.

Because your Village automatically saves itself independent of the actual game save, you can repeatedly trick your unsaved game file into giving your saved Village file free villagers.

Yeah, it's the full version where FC counts. Can also use them as summons and share abilities. Nothing game breaking, but neat.

Hell, I even told him how to get through the Demo easier.

UTSUSEMI ALL THE THINGS.

Random, but mildly related: blink tanking has been around since at least Final Fantasy IV's endgame dungeons when Behemoths started showing up. They had nasty AoE (well, party-aga) magic counters, and countered every physical hit with a heavy single hit of their own against you, so just Blink (Utsusemi) everyone and take it slow, never letting shadows drop. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

I beat the demo using NIN/SwordMasters x3 and 1 WHM/Performer. First turn everyone defaults. Next turn all NINs Utsu. Now they all should have countered and gained the 1.25% attack so now WHM using Love song to max their attack to 1.5%. Now all NINs Brave x4 with Ikku and attack the next 3 brave commands with sub SwordMasters they get Multitask so now they attack 11-12 swings each hand 4~8 times each. Basically they all do 1000 dmg each hand. So you do the math with crits and multitask procs haha

Ninja is obscenely broken in yet another game, big surprise.

Capped my villagers for the full version. The Dragon was the hardest boss mainly because I didn't want to dupe but *** waiting all those hours for the village to upgrade without duping. Hitting for 1s and 0s is no fun.

Knight seemed pretty useless but I'm getting flashbacks of FFT so again, no surprise there.

2 questions:

1. is the title of the US one Flying Fairy, or how's that work? or is the Japanese one Flying Fairy and the US one just omits that name? because I have yet to see that name used outside of the JP title...

2. I downloaded the demo yesterday, and it said it had a limit of 30 starts, is that accurate? So I should play it when I have plenty of time?

i think for english its bravely default. Also yes the 30 plays is correct kinda sucks theres a limited amount of times you can enjoy the demo :/ but yeah i suggest you make sure you got a good amount of time for each time you play.

I just hope I can find this bloody game, unlike it's prequel "4 heroes of light" which I searched for one year with no luck -.- it would annoy me greatly if I have to order it online.

if i read correct you can buy a digital copy from the 3DS shop to DL onto your 3DS system.

edit: wait, regular ds, I'll just get the ROM.

I'm just hoping I'll still be able to find a CE when I get a 3DS (getting for my birthday, which isn't until March). I played the demo borrowing my sisters 3DS, absolutely loved it

I'd rather have the CE over the standard anyday

As for the Title, I do believe it is Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, as it was the title that was shown on the Demo versions screen. It's also the 'actual name' for the EU version and the 2nd version from Japan (if I read correctly). Either way, I'd say its a must have if your a fan of old-school FF

The sequel is called Bravely Second, I think.

Hmm, what's the first version for Japan then?

and I haven't seen that on anything except the JP version yet...

What's different in the CE? I haven't been able to find it anywhere online.

I dont think theres anything different between the standard version and the CE (game-wise). The CE comes with 34 AR Cards, the soundtrack, and an Artbook. (EU version came with an Agnes figurine as well, lucky *** lol)

As for pre-ordering, Best Buy has it for $49.99 US

The JP version is "Bravely Default: Flying Fairy", the version we are getting is just a revised version of the original called "Bravely Default: For The Sequel" in Japan and given the working title "Bravely Default: Where the Fairy Flies" for NA and EU releases. So far, it just seems to be "Bravely Default."

If you're wondering why I titled the thread as I did, it's because it was the original title and it looks nice and neat.

ah, hmm. Not sure if I'd worry with the CE then, I'm broke.

I get the title then, ok...

I was just seeing multiple on amazon of the JP version, and it was confusing my brain...

Work has got me rattled lately, being pulled in 27 directions at once, and have enough of excel sheets to kill a person.

It would appear the Official Website has been updated in the past couple of hours, most of the sections were blacked out when I started this thread earlier.
