If you could somehow go back in time, and change the script of any single game (you only get 1!) which would it be, and why? No one else would have ever experienced the storyline that we all know today, only you would know it had been changed.

If you could re-write the script for any single game...
Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots: Edit out the repetitious dialog, and make the game make some sense. That way, when people Praise it's "Good story and writing" They won't just be pulling stock comments out of their ***.
IB FF7 (I'd rewrite FF8 though).
I thought MGS4 was pretty good overall. They could have done better trying to fit Raiden into it though. I'd rewrite FFVII. It's my favorite game, but there were a good amount of flaws. Also with all the sequels, prequels I'd at least like SOME hints about that crap in the main game. Also if I could get rid of Advent Children/rewrite that script I'd be pleased too. @_@;
FF II (IV). Great story line but cmon Cecil how many times do you have to be shocked that Kain betrays you. I mean seriously

Listen Yuna, listen Tidus. WE *** KNOW, YOU KNOW? Yeah we'll kill Sin, you know? Ok, we'll find a way to save Yuna, you know? NO REALLY, WE REALLY *** KNOW. I loved FF2 as a kid. And still play the emulator now and then and finally got it for DS though they use the jp numbering of 4 for it. But gets a bit more storyline. Especially back story to explain some things and alot of cutscenes which didn't exist since original was on snes
It's not so much that i would re-write star ocean 2 completely... i would just make it so it never ever ended >_> ever.... ever ever.
