Since Fire Emblem was brought up, I'd have to mention Genealogy of the Holy War (FE4) and say that I wanted it to end faster instead. The second half of the game just wasn't the same.
But yeah, after playing Phantasy Star IV, I just wish it was a bit longer. I know it's a story-oriented game, but even without grinding, your characters learn all their best abilities/get their best gear long before the final dungeon.

FFXI, I love this game and the people I play with :).

Xenogears. Just when it got really good, the developers rushed in a lot of story where Disc 2 was basically all cut scenes + god mode when you get Xenogears the robot. They attempted to fix this with the relaunch of Xenosaga, but it got plagued by similar problems and wasn't truly finished properly.

Plus they nerfed Lethe and every other nonroyal laguz into hell <_< Yeah FE6 was very fun. I stopped playing where the translation died though... I probably need a new version <_<. FE8 was very very grindy, I tried to avoid the monster levels because of that unless I had a stupidly weak unit that needed some loving. (Safe arena amirite? <_<) First playthrough I did Eirika's path, and it was kinda lame... lol, Ephraim's is much better. FE9 Lethe and Ranulf raped faces.... FE10... it was like Nailah, Tiburn or gtfo. @____@;; Oh yeah, and Shinon was actually good in FE10... was odd. I need to replay the games again, I've forgotten some stuff. ; -; @Ing Sounds like it's a good thing I never found a proper translation for it. (Didn't try hard enough either.)

I was a little addicted to the darts....haha Every morning i would grab the cash and run to the arcade and spend hours playing darts!! Maybe just one more go!! Yeh the little figures where cute, i did have a bad addiction to the darts though :D
I did play Shenmue 2 but never really got into it as much as the first! Super Mario Brothers 1

The story levels were a lot of fun to play. Star Ocean 2 was awesome, I played through that one a lot....but two I REALLY didn't want to end.. Persona 3 and 4...those RPGs are AWESOME
Katamari 1, only because the entire game could be completed in 3 hours and they so could have made it possible to roll up more. Katamri 2 and 3 weren't too impressive either.

Armored Core Final Fantasy Tactics Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front Zone of Enders Arc the Lad Shadow Hearts The Pc ones that I can remember Rage of Mages Return to Krondor Tachyon the Fringe MechWarrior Septerra Core Uncharted 2, that game is freaking awesome.

Anything that was released in the past 5 years or so. The emphasis nowadays is more on graphics and voice-overs, which uses up more disc space, which means the games themselves tend to be shorter with less replay value. Bayonetta, for instance, had some of the most fun combat of any fighting game in recent history, but that doesn't mean a thing if you only want to play the game once for 12 hours and then never again.
