Farming!

So, i have 75blm, and i was thinking to myself, "man i could aggro the entire zone and then -aga kill them all for fast kills!" But, a few people who sad that they have tried this, said they the drop rate hasn't been as high as when they single kill them. So i was just wondering if anyone knew and info about -aga killing 20mobs or sgould i just kill one by one on a DD job.

well if u go with a 75 thf who collects the mobs for u to aga it works well.. ^^

way way way WAY WAY WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in the day like i think 2004 they nerfed the "if the target isnt claimed" drop rates to discourage high level BLMs from farming low level zones

As others have noted this was nerfed a long time ago, don't let that stop you though, even with the nerf its a fairly efficient way for BLM to farm. I've used this method to farm Couerl Meat a number of times.

since i get bored on the run and link everything to the top, aga kill and go /joy key + 50ish gil lol

I used to do this and let me start by saying it pisses a lot of ppl off. Secondly unless you go BLM/THF you won't have treasure hunter. That could be the reason you are hearing the drop rate is low. I used to get a couple stacks of grain seeds, bee hive chips, etc. in about 1-1.5 hrs farming. I have since found better ways of making gil but that was a way to start the farming career. edit: just make sure you cast poison on every mob you pull that way you aren't linking them but pulling them. now you can also sign up for FoV refresh as well so you can help cut down your healing time.

I have friends who still do that. Like aggor yags and bees get lots of chips and feather synth them maybe get a staff from the nm
