Ohohohohoho~! TWO Certified Massage Therapists in this thread now?! :D
Ahhh you totally have to help me lol So for almost 2 years I've had this annoying pain in my upper right arm (almost at the shoulder). D: It really hinders my range of movement... like, I can barely reach my right arm behind my back. o_O And it's always really sore when I wake up in the morning. :( I have a pretty healthy lifestyle; obsessive daily exercise, always make sure to stretch my arm, always get enough sleep, etc. etc. What do I do !!! D:

is the pain at the anterior or posterior of the arm? are you sleeping on it? a lot of pain in the body is 'referred pain' meaning just because, like in this case, your upper arm hurts, the pain is not necessarily coming from the upper arm. Pain can stem from other parts of the body. If your pain is on the back of the arm it *may* have something to do with the serratus. take a look at this link and see if it matches your pain. It also shows a nifty stretch to help out the pain.

http://www.pressurepointer.com/Serratus_trigger_points.htm

stretching is very good! good to hear you do this yourself. so many people come in for massage expecting a magic cure-all, and don't do any of their 'homework' and therefore don't see long term results. But, massage in general can certainly have the potential to help rang of motion issues! ok im gonna shut up now.

Sign of a good massage therapist: your client is snoring loudly lolol, SUCCESS! :D! I've put quite a few people to sleep, always makes me giggle. :P -but I haven't had a massage in FOREVER, :[ heeey mr. other massage therapist.. do you do house calls? :P:P Need to keep it light on my back though, surgery from a collapsed lung and all :[! [even though I LOVE compression :D!]. :x

ahhh! yes when people fall asleep you know you are certainly relaxing them! i wake up my clients though - sometimes when they fall asleep they feel like they 'missed out' and i don't want that! i will maybe do housecalls when my exams are over, the school threw in a nice table with the tuition. compression is wonderful, i enjoy some good petrissage myself.

and

damn you people and your CAKE PHOTOS! Now I want to go bake something! arg!

i no longer eat little debbie products. (R.I.P. strawberry cake rolls and pumpkin delights D: )

truthfully, she is a murderous vixen, and should be called out for what she truly is: Little DEVIL.

I would describe it as extending from the end of the shoulder blade down the outside of the upper arm by about an inch. In the past I used to sleep on my side a lot, then this started up and I've stopped doing that. XD

Nifty, thanks.^^ The motion in that diagram did not trigger the pain though. x_x It feels like I could almost pop whatever it is back into place, but it won't work no matter how hard I try. XD

hmm.

http://www.pressurepointer.com/Infraspinatus_trigger_points.htm

even though the above link refers pain to the front of the shoulder, the stretch looks like it would affect you.

but this next link:

" Trigger Points in the Teres minor refer pain to a very small and specific area of the back of the shoulder, near the outer edge of the shoulder blade. "

AHA!

And omg/wantapieceofthatcake.

He loves the cake I make though he gets impatient when I'm close to finishing my cooking. And I like to get food done at the correct times, not too early, not too late (well with certain meats I cook them a little beyond the finished time on purpose).

The cake is real easy to make though but it takes a lot of prep and a lot of time to finish it. However its well worth it but be prepared to hit the gym afterwards lol.

Today I made seasoned baked pork chops with side of veggies, rice and cornbread for foulei and my folks. Nothing spectacular but they like my cooking thankfully :)

By the way folks, what are your jobs on your characters and what's your most favorite?

For me, so far, it's Thief. It was my first job I ever levled back in the day when, say, astral rings were 1.5 mil lol.

I got a little too hooked on Warrior when I was lvling it for a subjob so I took that to 75 first. Shortly after that, I got lucky and joined up with a static on my Thief which got me to enjoy the job more since before nobody would take thieves into parties after a while (I'm STILL puzzled about that) and even some people wouldn't take me in as Galkan thief because my AGI sucked as they said.

Though I'm liking pld and I want to take other jobs up (pup, nin, blu) next to 75, Thief will always be my favorite :)

SMN, BRD, COR, THF, WHM, DRG and SAM @ 75.

Started as a wee BLM to 18, then WHM to 37, then SMN to 75. <3 SMN~~ Then I fell in love with COR until it became a chore to be on it. -_- Then THF and WHM happened~

SAM/WAR/MNK/THF/BLU/DRG/DRK/PLD75, RNG67 SCH63.
I love all my jobs, but SAM is my passion. MNK being a very close second.
I just never tire of them. RNG is really starting to catch my interest lately though.

Well, I started FFXI as WHM [first job to 75], and it's going to be my first to 99. I just love the job, can't get enough of it. :]! Next was RDM, I really enjoy it, not to brag.. but I'm pretty well known for my RDM skills. :D! Then BRD came along, gogo getting chain 100+ with /whm sub, o_o;; none of this /nin stuffs that everyone depends on nowadays. ><;; [I enjoy /nin too, but the real skill is with /whm!]. And last but not least~! BLM! I find myself playing on that job the most lately, BURST II to the face! :P

-eeek I almost forgot about my precious DNC! LOL, it's my first ugh.. melee job? :P:P:P! :[!

-I started FFXI May 15th, 2004

I kinda got "thrown under the bus" on pld from the Dynamis LS. Once they found out it was 70 it was as if my Thief and Warrior were thrown by the wayside. At the time I didn't mind it because we were short on PLDs anyways but since we got a few more PLDs again I'm still stuck on tanking duties whereas I miss being a puller.

Foulei started in 2002, I joined up a year later of the PS2 release. Yea I was one of "those people" lol.
