Ask yourself if you're switching up the exercises/variety? Also how long do u spend at the gym? I typically spend 2hrs. heavy is gonna give u the strength to lift more next week, so i usually do 6setsx3reps(heavyiest i can handle) then go 3-4setsx10reps(slightly lighter weight)

I was too weak to do chin-ups when i first started going, 3 months back, so i used the cable/levy machine at first.

If your doing all that. All i can then suggest is look into supplements. Creatine and NO.

All my friends swear by this stuff. JACK3D. It's usually cheapest at GNC 27 bucks lasts more than a month.

as a health professional I would have to advise against such a supplement and personally I would never put such a thing in my body

real protein and other supplements ftw!

naps are kool, but as far as important hormones go that are important and effect your ability to build lean muscle you have to not eat for at least 3 hrs before bed and you need to enter the deep phase of sleep... if you don't sleep enough during the night a lot of normal repair processes don't get done... and the next night your body doesn't pick up where it left off... it kinda is on repeat every night...

As a biochemist its as dangerous/safe as most of the fat burners on the market. Just watch your caffeine intake.

He want's gains so I'm telling him what works. Every supplement, including multi-vitamins, are bad if you take too much. If you have doubts go ask the guys at your gym about the product it's pretty well reviewed on body-building forums.

Creatine is also bad for your kidneys if ur not cycling it. But everyone takes creatine, it makes for nicer muscles. Just make sure your drinking tons of water.

@"Sleep when I'm/your dead" is a quote, I was joking. Sleep is important for a number of reasons.

I would really have to dig for my biochem notes 8 hrs away to recall why creatine supplements are bad for you or just do some quick research which I don't feel like doing either but not only did my biochemistry professor tell us it was bad but other professors who are (academic) clinical doctors... but like I said do what you want and take advice from whom you trust

(personally, I don't even take a multivitamin either)

Creatine/PhCr end results in more urea production, thus more strain on the kidneys. I'm really abridging the process.

Creatine/PCr itself is naturally occurring, which get converted to creatinine. The main problem is when the body has to metabolize the excess.

Creatine is gonna give him better lifts, which is good. It also makes "water muscles" as we call them. Because your retaining more water in the muscles, your muscles look bigger as a result.

I think (not 100% positive) that what our biochem professor was caught up on is that it is an osmotic molecule and it pulls water into the muscle and therefore you bulk up but with water weight... (so kind of saying it just looks like you bulked up, but really it's just water weight)

but he and his arguments are not here to defend his namesake

lolz i just added that. I was editing. In the gym people call them "water/fake muscle" because its just giving the appearance of larger muscle. It is also some muscle, Edit: Since your increasing ATP, he'll lift more.
