ok so i just did trial by ice and trial by lightning, and talked to the npc, but i didnt get the avatar, im wondering what did i do wrong? and do i need to do the fight as a smn?

If you don't have SMN unlocked you don't get the option to pick a summon, otherwise idk.

I never talked as SMN, but the avatar option is at the bottom of the list of rewards I believe, "A pact with the Avatar", if you have SMN but no opyion idk ;o

It should show up as Nothing(a pact with the avatar)
if it's not showing up then maybe you already unlocked the avatars (People have forgotten before!! :P)
