Question On Pulse Weapons (BLU)

Hoping for some info - Very old casual solo player. Havent played since WoG was released but finally came back a few months ago because I've missed this game but soooo much new info to take in....

Solo'd up 99 BLU/NIN sub and hit my first wall - Apparently I need to find a Pulse weapon to upgrade to Naegling but tbh, waiting months on Deeds of Heroism or a monthly chance at opening chests seems a bit much - Wondering if there's any quicker ways to get ahold of one? Not quite strong enough to get past the Tier 2-3 NM's in Zitah yet so I'm just in a holding pattern

I've been dipping my toes into farming Dynamis Valkurm using AOE but so far only seem to be able to pull about 1.5 stacks of various coins each run so still trying to figure that out.

Currently running AOE and Savage Builds and picked up the Adoulin addon. TIA

Trove is your best bet outside campaigns/vouchers.

Thanks - I got into that but from what I can tell I can only get 1-2 Mars orbs or 1 Venus orb each monthj (unless one happens to pop from the gobbie box) Unless there's another way to get ahold of them?

Ask your LS to give you any pulse weapons from trove they don't want.

Most have made all the ambu weapons and don't need more pulse weapons. On some servers you can also buy pulse weapons from other's trove drops.

But most LSs are happy to give them to you if you indicate you need one.

You will likely be able to gear up to start fighting Urmahlullu with Trusts faster than the other options. Plutons are cheap, but the drop rate is pretty low. Expect to use anywhere from 1 to 3 stacks per Pulse Weapon - ideally, you will want two (Naegling and Maxentius).

If you can find someone to help you farm t3 Zitah NM (Urmhalulu), you can get on average maybe one pulse (Chastisers) per stack of stones. I was able to farm one in about 90 minutes or so a long time ago, but the drop rate is very low. Most players can kill it in a minute or so because it's older content. If you're in a new player linkshell, ask if someone is willing to help you farm one. Otherwise, the areas Dodik mentioned are where you can expect to get one quickly.

Thanks - I'm still running solo atm but I'll see if there's any other gear I can farm until I can go after Urmahlullu, I don't mind grinding RNG's :) Appreciate the help, really missed this game/world ;)

In the meantime don't be too shook up about only carrying the kaja sword; it's a fine weapon and don't let the pulse fixation slow down progress in other areas. Plenty of gear to chase.

Meanwhile, do your monthlys, pluck away at deeds. Honestly by the time your deeds get you a pulse you'll have probably already gotten lucky somewhere else.

Legion's Hall of Mul isn't a bad place to shoot for Pulse weapons. It's also low level content so it's a good difficulty for a new player to farm their first pulse weapon if they want to solo. In the final wave, both the Gallu and Botulus have a chance to drop a pulse and they'll continuously respawn until the 30 minute time limit is up, so you'll get a good number of kills in per attempt. Since you're going BLU, one thing I'd suggest is trying to keep Mul mobs stunned with Sudden Lunge since a couple have access to Doom (Naraka/Gallu) or even Death (Mantid). Holy Waters recommended.

You can also hold onto the Abdhaljs' Honors you'll stockpile on to turn in to Emporox to be able to buy pulse weapons through Potpourri. There's even potential gil to be made off some scrolls like Regen V.

Yeah I've definitely been done too long - Never even heard of Legion's Hall of Mul - I'll check it out. Geared up about as far as I can in 119 but even the T1 NM's in Zitah are still giving me grief.... Thanks!
