Need Occult Acumen Set For Drk.

Specifically for aminon, I don’t have impact cloak, so I was also wondering if that’s a deal breaker and also some tips for anyone that’s done it before as there is not a whole lot of info on drk aminon.

Just doing a local Item Sets search, and you can find this:

Can get STP+8 on Odyssean and Valorous set, so can hit 11 on Valorous body and 13 on the Valorous feet and Odyssean legs. If you care to Oseem Fern stone. Can save some Dark Matter stuff that gets Occult Acumen stat, but I think something like this is the best STP you can get per slot.

You can idle in Ratri Plate (+1) (if you bought one) for extra Aminon Idle DT <--> TP conversion.

IMO, you should farm a Twilight Cloak from NQ Shinryu if you plan on doing OA for Aminon. It's not a 'requirement' for an OA set, but it's the highest MP spell DRK can use, unlike GEO/BLM/RDM/SCH. The highest non-Impact spell DRK can cast is Thunder III, which is a pitiful 91MP. DRK has the highest OA tier and has access to Aspir 2, so it can return very high TP amounts and then refill their MP. You can sacrifice some STP in the set for FC so you can cast it sooner. Along with Absorb-TP, DRK can fill in nicely for Aminon.

There's not much to DRK in Aminon, really. Get TP (Absorb TP, Impact, Regain, Meds/Wings, Jumps, Soul Enslavement) -> WS. Same as any other job.

just rope in all the occult acumen , store tp and > subtle blow for Aminon DRK. havent tested it out for tier 3 nukes but you definitely want Origin for MP right back to spam spells for TP. this set gave me like 2200 TP return every 14 secs. 10 to 13 minute hard mode Aminon kills.

So the yorium gear can get +10 OA on each piece so it would be body hands legs and hands, if I do the calculation 91(thunder3)x 96 (maximum OA on drk I think, that’s why I made this post) x (1(50(store tp)/100) / 100 id get back 139 tp for every thunder 3, but if I change the OA in that equation to lower but store tp to a high value (assumedly switching OA gear to store tp gear) the value gets lower. So I guess my question would be why are people using store tp instead of OA gear from alluvion skirmish?

My guess would be the person who made this set (and myself who referenced it) probably just forgot/wasn't aware that Skirmish armor could get Occult Acumen on Yorium set.

Was also a jp vid of drk/blm doing ami cycling AMs(315 MP/cast so slightly more costly Thunder V with a much higher OA) for TP inbetween abs-TP/impact but that leaves you basically subless for the other 8 bosses/misc fights

This isnt the one I remember posted here but so far the only one I can find, very unoptimized but you can see how much TP return is coming from AMs. though no gear is shown so could be room for improvement there as well. Fight starts round 3min

That drk was casting freeze or flood or w/e, can't remember how I worded it or when I said it. It's so damn difficult to find.
