Help Needed: Translating JP Lore Material

I, and several others, are currently working on a lore book for FFXI. This lore book will cover all the cutscenes in the game and draw on several JP lore publications for material. But in order to use the JP lore material, we need some proper proper translations. For simple pages that cover plot details, there are plenty of translation tools available that work well enough. But these tools do not seem to work well when translating more complicated / abstract lore sections.
