Alright, 48 Venus Orbs and 24 Mars Orbs done, I am too tired to keep going.

If you want Volte items, you can stop at Loud Thuds.

This is my last venus orb for today. The hints I observed were as follows:

This means there is an ITG thud on the floor (or maybe not?). Your intuition can fail you, i.e. "you were incorrect":

1. You feel like there's an impossible to gauge thud left to be made.
   

2. You feel like there's an impossible to gauge thud left to be made...?
   

This means there is a Loud Thud still on the floor.

1. You feel like there's a huge sound left to be made.
   

2. You feel like there's a huge sound left to be made...?
   

3. You feel like there's a huge sound left to be made!
   

Obviously, I cannot confirm the significance of these hints ending in a period, question mark or exclamation point. It's possible Greyson explains this, I wasn't paying attention to him, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

For a mars orb, your reward chest (9th chest) can be Brown (noise), Gold (LT) or Rainbow (ITG). If it's brown, good luck... 50/50 on Mimic.

For a venus orb, your reward coffer (9th coffer) can be gold (LT) or Rainbow (ITG). Also, I have observed that the Terminal Coffer can also be Thud, LT or ITG on Venus orbs. Personally, I kina feel less inclined to stop on a Loud Thud compared to before this update, but that's just me.

Starstones can apparently drop now. I wonder if you can get mezos?

Hmm. So maybe they bumped Malignance/Crepuscular/Omen Bodies+Hands etc stuff to ITG and kept everything after Dynamis-D at LT.

not sure why it wont post the actual image of the shot but i have gotten the you feel like there's an loud/impossible thud left to be made but they all had ...? at the end twice. just now i had one with 4 ...? at the end. i wonder if it means that we have to find the right chest with the sound and if the ...? goes away so does the sound?

I really only have null pieces on this account so must've been a duplicate null :/

For mars orbs, they just made the win condition a probability instead of a guarantee.

For venus orbs, noise already wasn't a reward from the terminal coffer. They buffed the HQ noise rates of normal chests and guaranteed the win condition to give it a more clear advantage over mars orbs.

So it's a minigame within the minigame to get you to keep going until you find it. Looking at Felgar's posts, it appears to be broken down into 3 stages of confirmation:

1 ...? - (You think there could be an ITG on the floor, but unsure)
2 . - (You're fairly certain there's an ITG on the floor)
3 ! - (You're confident there's an ITG on the floor)

So 1 is like the game trolling you/egging you on, 2 is giving you confidence, 3 is practically telling you to risk it all. A funny minigame with the new effects (I still hate Trove for different reasons(digress)), but the changes are fun.

Kind of crazy how much small and unique lore/effects/effort they put into this kind of content. It's like they know exactly what drives engagement and gets people going the most, especially casual players. Gonna for sure be an AMAN Trove campaign coming up soon I imagine.

Meh, I wish it would reroll instead. Or give a "Trove Box" that mimics the same effect of Malignance Box, except from the pool of ITG items. That way you can get what you still are missing. There's about 6 items I am missing on my character and the odds of targeting them are so low, it's not even worth me doing orbs (and hasn't been for a long time).

Did a Mars Orb on a mule where I got five noise, one thud, three loud thuds and an ITG from the Rainbow.

I got the hoxne neck from mars, itg. Lotsa pulse stuff, wyrm ash, dyna crystals. Malignance and Null.

I'm sure it's all just a numbers game, but the longer I went the worse my luck seemed to be. Anecdotal ofc, but the way they treated Limbus chests got me thinking maybe something resets over time or maybe it depends which zone you enter as I tend to stick to Horlais. And not just the loot results - trading the orbs back to the npc I got a lot of gobbiekeys, vouchers, and recharges before my first juice. To the point where I almost announced "hey I think they removed the juice!"

Happy with the adjustment for now but will be pissed when I've burned all my orbs this month and next month they have a campaign for it.

Edit: oh, murky astral detritus coffer had 16 in there, not bad!

You're probably safe to assume that the newest items won't make it into the campaign immediately. You gotta have some sort of motivation to go other than lack of discipline or gambling addiction.

Mars or Venus?

Venus, got a Shamash robe from ITG thud from Mars too

Prior to this update, a Loud Thud was a Loud Thud and it's contents did not vary depending on the orb used. I don't see a reason to believe this has changed, since. I believe that still the only difference between orbs is the chance to get a loud or itg in a single battlefield.

Got this from an ITG. It had 30 Astral D crystals inside.
