November 2025 Version Update

Just did some shared Dyna-D in Sandy on my new DNC. It has some good gear and an augmented Twashtar, but has hardly any job points and is very much a work in progress.

My first epic fail was pulling the first statue with blue eyes. Don't do that. You will not have a good time. I managed 17 kills before I had the dumb idea of taking on some NMs. That counter is nasty even on wave 1.

I didn't use a trust tank, instead choosing to keep hate with damage and heals. Best to kill statue off ASAP with a 2-3 step skillchain. The scariest part is getting back on to something after that before anything can kill you (so trusts will heal).

When you get in the flow it's not too bad, but it definitely isn't returnee friendly. I imagine it will be next to impossible on certain jobs. But the upside here is that if anyone wants a clear, you can ask some friends to come along and it won't eat their KI for their OG Dyna D.

I guess this is why SE did it this way. It knew the OG Dyna D has such a massive lockout, but they didn't want to change that, so they brought in the shared area so folks can help friends without trying to get them into an endgame LS that is always full or think they aren't strong enough to contribute yet.

Then I guess this implicity tells us that the new max rank is 10, I suppose?
