Nyame is locked for a reason, they want the players to pick whats best for them.

How about capping WSD so path A C and D have a snowballs chance in hell at being useful ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Or just stop playing all jest jobs and pretend you need all Nyame B for them. I switched helm to A and nothing really changed to me, beside having less damage with mostly niche magic WS on few jobs.

Keep the bonus from gifts, traits, ect., but remove fast cast from gear. Shorten the base cast time of all current spells to be more in line with the haste cap era.

I get that people like to obsess over gear, but beyond a certain point; you're carrying around armor to compensate for lazy development. Way past due for an update.

100% agree, it would be healthy to shift the mage gameplay away from "tons of gear + good lua". It's a fun minigame on its own but if they're not going to add 1st party support to it, it feels like a waste of energy from everyone involved.

gear exclusivity ***' sucks in a game where you're expected to have multiple job classes.

Unlock nyame and while we're at it, give us access to all the expansion rings/earrings/etc.

If they were ever to compromise on nyame id imagine theyd just let you swap a piece or set once per week like they do with rov rewards, but ody would need to be dead for that to happen

Unlocking nyame would mean that in game known from having fantastic horizontal gearing options, you would end up with 85-90% of tp sets ws sets, nuke sets being the same and even worse all of them coming from same place, locked beside same fight. Again I understand the frustration of pet jobs wanting both B and D pieces, but you are trying to fix you problem by creating a much larger one.

I can't imagine them ever doing it but if you could change the paths on nyame whenever you want at the porter moogle so you could adjust your paths depending on your job that would remedy many conplaints

Victory Smite is one of the strongest if not the strongest 1000tp WS in the game with impetus up, doing even up to 99k and with median way above anything else including all Prime WSs and you want to fix it.. Lets be real here.

Alright, alright, let’s put this little Monk situation under the spotlight, shall we?

See, I ain’t talkin’ about Victory Smite when Impetus is struttin’ tall, chest out, makin’ everything look easy. No, no, no. I’m talkin’ about when the lights go down, Impetus takes a nap, and Monk’s still gotta throw hands. The average-andy conditions mid buffs. A BRD handin’ out four songs, your run of the mill COR, and one lonely GEO without an Idris miracle to their name. That, my friends, is the stage we’re talking about.

Now, sure if you’ve got yourself a BRD with Aria and you’re sittin’ on a super buff scenario, you’ll see Howling Fist, Tornado Kick, even ol’ Raging Fists struttin’ around with 99k caps as well. Cute little fireworks show. Among you veterans, it’s all normalized Idris GEOs, COR gods, Aria BRDs alts stacked like poker chips. But me? I’d love to see that neat little 99,999 ceiling torn right off the top. No cap, no leash just let those numbers run wild so we can see what these weapon skills are really packin.

regarding monk gaining different damage types, they already have a way to bypass damage types through formless strikes, and while yes, it's on a CD, it's still there. Monk has always been a blunt damage specialist, and it's carved out quite a niche in that department, leaving little room for others jobs to come close to their damage. I understand the desire, but I feel like that takes away from the job to make them just like warrior.

on the topic of warrior, I do feel they need to do something for great axes, because there's little reason to use those over naegling in most content, especially seeing how strong the fencer job trait is. taking ukon for example, the white damage is great, but you're almost penalized for weapon skilling with your Am running. a proper crit build will eclipse the damage you'll do with ukko, which is quite frankly just sad.

And Monk… poor Monk. Not exactly the poster child of Odyssey or Sortie, now is it? Those are the playgrounds where all the shiny META toys drop. Formless Strike? Yeah, it’s a tool. Sure. But it’s got the cooldown of a glacier. You can’t build hype off of waiting around forever. Meanwhile, WAR’s out there doing the Naegling Shuffle, swapping to Shining One, then moonwalking over to Loxotic +1 faster than you can say “parse inflated.”

And speaking of Naegling… oh boy, beating that horse doesn’t just feel old it’s fossilized. At this point, the healthier play isn’t nerfs, it’s new blood. Give us another stage for REMAS, give some Prime WS a little spotlight juice. ‘Cause here’s the truth: even if you chop Naegling’s WS by ten, twenty percent… folks are still gonna use it. Why? It’s practical. They’ll shrug and say, “Oh, I went from 65k to 45k in mid-buff land.” Or, “Instead of 99k, I’m hitting 80–90k when the super buffs are stacked.” And?

We all know the story: it inflates parses, it causes overkills, it’s situational. Yadda yadda. The crowd knows the lines. The play’s been done.

More healing options rant
I wish sch would have some kind of shield spell for a tank
14 sch WAS based primarily on prep healing.

Before you say well whm has cure skin yeah ok but giving sch some more prep work as it's Regen is already pretty great would make for a more balanced kit on the healing side.

Like a foil esque single target non aoeable spell, maybe stratagem based
Hell maybe even two one that mitigates physical and one that mitigates magical that share recasts.

This way the job would need to "study up" before the fight

Giving them cure v or vi would be too much, imo
But they already have so much stuff
