over the last couple of weeks i have been runnign into blackzones (the zone dont load iit jsut all black with entities in them) and warningless Crash to Desktops.

I finnaly figured it out, and it was due to me having vsync enabled in DgGvodoo.
Im NOT blaiming DGvodoo it might be something else in my system that is together with this making it weird

When i first enabled it it worked with vsync the fisrt few times but then sync stopped working (FastCS would peak to several hundreds FPS) bakc then i evne tried forcing vsync in via AMD graphics panele but to no availb.
I disabled the AMD driver Vsync but left it in Dgvodoo.

Then a bit after that the CTD and Blackzone started hapepening and it went on for weeks. multiple times a day.
butafter removing it from DG voodoo it all fine now

TL:DR if you have instabilty and blackzones maybe check vsync in dgvoodoo (especially if its not workin anyway to cap your FPS)

patched in wich way ?

Large address aware flag. not at first but tried that later ( it is currently). Besides my privat memory allocation was below 700MB per process so probably not memory related.

Vsync doesn't cause crashes.

Bad drivers definitely might.

Are you allocating 4GB of vram per instance in dgvoodoo, as well?

If it seems to happen with the same zone(s) repeatedly, it might also be an issue with the file on disk rather than memory.

At this point, I just assume most of what daneblood says is a tendency to put too much faith in his own weird assumptions. But, I do want to point out that the amount of RAM you have used does not necessarily correlate to whether you have enough free to load a zone.

You need a specific amount of contiguous RAM addressing space. So, if your instance has been running a while you might have fragmented bits all over and you could have 700MB in use but still lack a contiguous ~200MB to load a high texture zone.
