Hi all, faceaway is a simple addon that turns your character 180 degrees on a click of a keybound button.

This works while in combat without needing to disable target lock . I've found this simple addon useful for fights such as glassy thinker (during Pain Sync), Kin (when using TP moves), the lamia in the lamia ambuscade, and any other time i want to stop attacking when I'm too lazy to disable target lock.

On addon load, a settings file will be generated that will allow you to change the keybind. It is numpad0 by default.

Cheers!

The addon "React" can already do this without pressing any keys.
Code
["Glassy Thinker"]={
		["Pain Sync"]={
			["complete_reaction"]="facemob",
			["ready_reaction"]="turnaround"
		}
	},

Yeah but that's the difference.

If someone doesn't feel comfortable using React, this is a very nice alternative, since you still have to input a command.

Its fair to assume that there are parts of the playerbase who use addons but want to avoid crossing the line of automation.

It's not just that
The speedd of react and that it can activate mid weapon skill or animation like you are using jazero
Makes it feel extra sketchy

This looks like this could be a little more natural
If gs c facemob exists was there already a turn around?

Ramblin time, if you didn't know you can also add things to your macros that tap movement keys before a spell to ensure a following character or even main character stops moving to avoid accidental interrupts

Don't judge. This game really should have more visual cues than just an exclamation point above a mobs head (which is rarely used btw). Also, seeing a mob "readies a move." ...is lame. You can totally just not receive that packet and the ready ability doesn't even appear in your chat log. (The same goes for Stuns too, so sometimes the SCH isn't a bad player, they just never got the packet).

Should I not be using the quick turn button in Resident Evil? Is that cheating?

my favourite is when this happens in Nyzul on a spec enemies or clear all floor and I dont get the “objective complete” message on the char im focused on, so I waste 15-60 seconds running around looking for something that doesnt exist.

There’s an addon that covers displaying monster ability use that’s called warnme. It gets a bit buggy about monsters casting that aren’t claimed/targeted (spams error messages in the windower log) but is fully functional for when you don’t want to squint at the chat log in the corner.
