New Discovery About Nethervoid/Dark Seal?
The verbiage on the JAs speaks to the next Dark Magic Spell, when they should say the next Black Magic Spell. They were used up when I cast Fire to pull a mob.
Not new, we have known this for decades and its an underlining fault with the game that JAs like Dark Seal and Nether Void get consumed on spells that the 2 JAs have no effect on. Nether Void increases the potency of drain and absorb type spells with the exemption of Absorb TP so obviously won't have an effect on fire.
Same thing happens with GEOs Collimated Fervor and Theurgic Focus. You lose the effect on your next cast, regardless of whether it matches the magic class it's supposed to enhance.

In 20+ years, I've never used it on anything that wasn't Dark Magic. By some stroke of bad luck, the mob I was going to drain died, but the timers were still going, so I was going to pull with fire, then execute the solo SC. SURPRISE! No NV/DS. |
