Mog House Decorations: The True FFXI Endgame

For well over my 20 years of playing this game I rarely cared about how my Mog House looked. A little while ago I saw someone’s and it inspired me to start decorating my own. It’s been my pet project on slow days and it’s brought my countless hours of joys.

I’m around ~150/160 items in mine currently. Unfortunately, I think I have too many moving pieces or ones that make sound so people crash in it sometimes. Overall, I’m glad that I finally took the time to work on it.

Show off your Mog House and the decorations you’ve obtained throughout the years! Also, tell me whether or not you've ever bothered to decorate it before.






My favorite detail: I've got Odin and Alexander statues facing each other while standing on their corresponding areas in Aht Urhgan. The Jeweled Egg represents the Astral Candescence.

I've been afraid to do much decorating of my moghouse because I don't want to mess with the moghancements etc

The upstairs doesn't effect that at all! Just keep what you want down stairs and you'll keep whichever Moglification you want.

My ex use to love to craft/decorate in this game years ago. Her name is all over the place in my moghouse items lol. Ill post mine later.

What are the paper posters on the wall? Never seen those before.

Oh wow, that looks very nice. I'm the only one who decorates mh in my ls but never thought about making it look like some of the battles in FFXI.

I've seen a few people's ultra decked out decorations before, but I gotta say, this is easily in the top three, well done, there is a lot of stuff in there I have never seen before!

I'm super envious of your Chocobo racing pieces, Upbeat. I really need to sit down and work towards those.

never cared to decorate much early on
after I had most relics most empy all capped jobs all capped skill all capped crafts
the main thing I did was delvl rdm back to 75 from 99 to do 75 content sky and sea gods ash dragon 75 hnms for fun
during that time I realized my mh wasn't complete and I decided to spend the gil to buy just about all the furnishings and really make it special
because I had just about everything 100% done in game and I only saw it as another thing to fully complete like building all relics or all empy
when I finally got all my bonecrafting guild items I had to get the star globes to cap my elemental strength I'm not exactly a huge fan of need like 12 of them to cap dark strength but it works
now instead of making it more decorated I just make sure I have my ele strengths maxed with my stalls and guild items the chocobo trophies don't really mess with my ele strengths and I think they look good

when Kaoriasada and I were really close she would come over all the time and we had a fish in the aquarium we would watch together

Seriosuly incredible! Some questions, as I've never invested so much into furnishings:

1.) Are those Tarutaru mannequins pose-able? (The ones that are wearing Korrigan/Watermelong mandragora outfits?) If so, I didn't know this was possible...
2.) What is that Qirin box?
3.) What frame is that with the purple corners?

Maybe just screenshot your storages? haha ...I've never seen a lot of those items. Great job!!

1) All mannequins are pose-able. You just need to do a very brief quest from an NPC in Tavnazian Safehold. Afterwards, you can just talk to an NPC in Mhaura to change their poses as you see fit.

2) Yes, that's the Qiqirn Sack.

3) The purple framed furnishing is the Marble Plaque. You can pick it up off the AH or craft it.

It really blew my mind how many pieces of furniture they have. I used to get so annoyed when they'd add them over fixing content but now I'm really enjoying them. It's made me look forward to doing seasonal events to get each of them. Sadly, there's a few that are in the DATs that we can't obtain or ones like Judgment Day from a rank 1 Bonanza.
