Drlove reported what he thought was an increase. I don't fault him for that. Where he went wrong is crashing out over Nariont making a very plainly correct comment about there not being any visual difference in song duration between the +3 and +4, and then quadrupling down when pressed for details. I mean, it's entirely possible SE messed up or updated something, Martel's post about Paladin AF feet are a classic example. They even coded Corpselights as demons for some reason (recall in Sheol B, Evil Weapons used to aggro by low HP at one point). So mistakes or translation corrections are possible. The difference in Martel's post is that it's super detailed, even included his own testing plus JP wiki references.
Drlove may be correct in that there's an update somewhere, or he could just be flat out incorrect/mistaken. But getting irritated when someone asks for more information when you've posted nothing besides a short paragraph about your experience does not provide any pertinent details, is weird behavior. Smh

This is true, but also worth noting for those who haven't read that post:
The error wasn't in this update, it was in the translation of the +2 and +3. The feet have always given MP back only on blocks, just like the +4 do, it's just that nobody ever noticed it because of the shitty wording on all the other versions.
So while comparisons between the evidence presented for both cases are relevant, I think the comparisons between the two pieces of gear are off base. One was a translation mistake/fix, the other was proposing a change to the actual stats.

Nitro to nitro has been possible for some time; seems the OP just hadn't realized it.
The reason I (we) did carn was for the wiggle room. Because in actual play when you need to buff 5 other idiots that won't sit still for that critical 30s you just need that extra time.

Maybe when they release +5 they might add another 5% duration but I'm not counting on it.

We can't ever have songs hit 15mins or it ruins Miracle Cheer

An extra 5% wont put them at 15mins.

2% would match up with the current upgrade bonus patterns, wouldnt expect higher

Scherzo, Mazurka, and probably a few others I'm missing already hit over 15 minutes with Nitro. They just gonna have to come out with miracle cheer +1

Thanks. I forgot which buff it was. All I remember is seeing a 20+ minute Mazurka "dummy" song during nitro on Xevioso V25, and then the subsequent scramble to attempt to fix songs before nitro fell off.

Carols Some songs also last 20min.

An extra 5% wont put them at 15mins. Yeah, I didn't say that. Ever means ever, like I don't want things to creep this much or it will one day be >15mins.
Or miracle cheer should have just been +100% duration so we can have songs of any duration in the future without it getting invalidated.

I bet if Miracle Cheer +1 was a thing with "Sets the song effect duration for party members to 30 minutes", would instantly be top Bonanza reward. Sing once and be done (also would be super broken for prebuffing master trials and other stuff)

15 mins song only!.

One day, BRD will get songs that makes those 5 other idiots smarter ...or just better players. Please look forward to it.

The unspoken rule when you play BRD is: If you want songs, stay nearby. It is everyone's individual responsibility to stand near the bard when songs are wearing/BRD announces resing, or you are SOL. Usually this is done (in segs or whatever) when everyone is clustered on a few Nostos group pulls, so there's no need to run off. If you're on your own soloing in the corner and the rest of the group was smart enough to stay close for buffs, that's totally on you.

Absolutely, 100% true. I would like to mention that when songs need to be re-applied, if this is done in when a crowd of mobs is pulled (like in Sheol-C), it makes sense for the DDs to be closer to the group of mobs that have been pulled.
I don't understand why some DDs immediately run to the far away mobs and try to kill them as quickly as possible? (Maybe they're only thinking about the parse, and they're hogging all of the HP bars for themselves?)

Maybe this but also consider hanlon's razor, it might just be chasing after whatever auto target put them on without a second thought.

Auto target doesn't make you run straight for a far away group before you engage anything.

I do this...and take sh*ite for it; if you only/mostly play back row you may not realize the intention here....so I'll explain using dynamis d as an example...
The reason I run for the far away mobs is
1. They are the casters that will put your group to annoying sleep, and
2. Stats playing jumping jacks cause annoying stuns in the scrum which slows everything down. We typically pull 3-4 sets and it takes the cors/blms a few moments to target them...they could use one less person blocking the target.
When I'm BRDing I typically throw a "<call21> Songs in 10s" actually 2x because I know others think like I do. I rarely have problems but if they mis, with that much notice, well screw them anyway.
Got them today found out you can go Nitro to Nitro withOUT a carn. I did this with 2 Kali's for 90 minutes in Limbus, with a party of 5. Was also confirmed that it adds durations to song by a Bard using Carn as well. Im not sure of the % increase, but I do have to pop Nitro, wait for the 90 second recast to be around 50 seconds to have it continue from Nitro to Nitro with no issues.
