I've Agree, odyssey gear or nyame in particular is such power creep, it should have been added after everything we have access to right now.

I have no clue why they made it this way. Did they expect no one to beat odyssey higher vengence until way later down the road?

It seems what you're demanding is different though. You don't want to get that info yourself AND you don't want anybody else to get it, it's quite a different story.
Basically you (legitimately) want things in a certain way, and demand everybody does the same instead of leaving freedom of choice.

He goes and watches a *** tutorial on every boss BEFORE HE EVEN SEES THE DAMN BOSS. Finds out the best build before trying a single one for himself. What the *** is the point.

Subjectively he said it was fun to not struggle, but objectively the point IS the struggle. The discovery. The mystery. Exploration is dead and we cheered at it's funeral.

I think we all had the most fun when the game came out and the internet was barely forming so we couldn't instantly get all info ASAP within seconds, and had to play the game to find things, /check random people to see what even exists, share/get info from others in game, or read that Brady FFXI guide book etc.

We're just in a different era right now, and as long as the information is attainable the way it currently is through dat mining and otherwise, that's just how it's going to be. We can still have some mystery discovering proc mechanics, or odd things like how in Sortie we had to figure out how to get the D chest to appear from /tossing that temp warp item etc. Gear stats discovery just isn't that anymore as much as it would be cool if it was

And, again, it's the beginning and not the end. Not only do we not have NMs yet, the devs have specifically stated they want Limbus to stick around and to upgrade Artifact/Relic further, that screams +5 or even augments to me.

Either which way, a few weeks of minimal (literally solo with Trusts) effort and you're done. Commensurate with the effort is the reward.

To clarify Appolyon = AF, Temenos = Relic?

It would be a better argument if it was content like Abyssea where there were a whole boatload of cool and unique drops and the only way to discover them ingame is to kill the monsters and get them.

It's not very strong as an argument when the NPC literally shows you a list of all the gear before you upgrade it.

Either way, you can't stop people doing it. Even if funk didn't put it on the wiki, someone else would post it somewhere else almost immediately.

What he is doing is bad for the community, and it sucks he can't wait a couple of days to do this. Also yes he is doing it for the dopamine hit of finding it all out before anyone else, which is why he stays up late to do it.

Technically ~11 months if you wanted to get all 220 pieces for all 22 jobs.
To upgrade all my pieces, for instance, it would take me ~6 months (spoiler: less because I won't upgrade all of them).

Now tbf I'd be kinda fine with these times. I'm more concerned about a possible +5 coming out and requiring 5 times as much time as these +4 versions, now that would be quite troublesome...

It's not about me, I want the community and endgame players to have this thing they figure out and enjoy doing so in the thread as it evolves.

I don't hate Funk or anyone else, I just think this datamine stuff is bad when there is no control and they can't wait a couple of days to do it. We all know the community loves to find this stuff out as a community in these threads, there is no journey anymore and instead the destination is in the OP.

You're ruining the game by voluntarily posting all your .dat mods. The game would be so much better if we all played vanilla like it was 2004. Exercise self-control and stop contributing to what I unilaterally deem The Problem.

See? Other people can make unreasonable demands of you. You are not obliged to care about their personal ideals for how the game "should" be. Nor is it realistic of anyone to expect anything to return to the Before Times, regardless of how novel it would be.

If you allow people to have the information in and hour of the patch being installed they will consume it and it will be done. If you do not and they have to find it out as a community in the thread, the community and the forum will be better for it.

This is a fact, even if people want the instant gratification it's still better for everyone to not have it and for them to have to work for it and other people to get some praise for doing so. Everyone would enjoy it more, if over the course of the day people posted jpgs and whatever else yes.

This is like adding a difficulty slider to Elden Ring, most people will lower the difficulty at any sign of resistance cause that's how our minds work (which is why they should not add them to souls games). However they will enjoy it more and it will be more rewarding if they do not have that slider and just beat it the proper way.

This isn't about spoiling it for me (I don't have this mindset) but I know others do and I want the forum and community to have this couple of days of fun and posting stuff and it slowly being figures out, instead of it all being in OP.

I personally *love* Radial's and other people's mods, but even if I hated them I would never go in their thread asking them to stop doing it because they ruin how I believe the game should be.

Idk I vote we continue to have business as normal with people wanting to discuss how underwhelming (but really?) the new upgrades are, as they have been for years and years. We can't get a free bonanza weapon every month, Square would go bankrupt!!

Very much see a 10k to 70k jump level happening here (like emp+3) with the cap increasing when the add it. 70k was always ***, moreso because it is the same currency for weapons.

With this content, a tripling at most would be acceptable. Any more than that and they are being sadists.
