Some folks (like Thorny) were able to admit "okay looks like it is theoretically feasible if you practice", which is fine. But like, don't go pretending people weren't saying stuff and try and be revisionist about it, thats even more cringe than the person's initial aloofness about their method.

Cant argue with that one lol I mean ... we've known about the whole Y axis toggle to cause monsters to warp on top of you since Omen, at least that's the first time I saw it used consistently. As long as the puller is sturdy enough, can pull entire segments in Dyna-D then teleport them for the big CC + BLU Cleaves. I've been using //buy item 0/1 number for god knows how many years now man, not even near the auction house.
I highly doubt anyone has been getting pinched for bidder in the last decade unless: -they spam purchases quicker than the game would normally allow -they do bids away from the AH and get absolutely incredibly unlucky and a GM caught them in the act -they did other more nefarious things and used that as an excuse, which is not getting pinched for bidder I dont see SE pissing away subscription fees over that, FFXIAH's database estimates 85k characters, and a decent chunk of those are likely mules. I'm not gonna say no one in the history of FFXI has been banned for "making auction house bids nowhere near the auction house", but I will say anyone that has been banned for using bidder has more than just bidder on their rap sheet. RE: the earlier parts of this conversation, I for one definitely did not know you could mess with your position and cause enemies to teleport on top of you. Had I known that, my opinions on this discussion would've been quite different.
That said, I don't think knowing a "trick" that someone who's never used your (widely used) cheating programs is a good bar to set for whether your information is novel. He also mentioned "doing objectives nobody has thought of/heard of" which is...preposterous. He said it required "a little effort" which is true, I guess...but only because Silmaril is playing the game for him. I mean, sure...I guess I hadn't considered that no effort would be required because you'd have all your characters playing themselves. I was definitely wrong about how powerful the cheating tools are, though others knew all of his "secrets" so his OP is still hilarious and misguided. He also said that he had lots of special gearing ideas which included...using sphere MAB bodies, and using resist stun gear...? So I guess he's a secret genius and nobody could've pulled this off without his 9000 IQ plays. What the hell does any of this have to do with the June 2025 Version Update?
