Fledgling Sortie Group Seeks Member

Hello! And a fine how do you do?

As the subject suggests, I've got a Sortie group looking for a member on the Bahamut server.

We're a relatively new group, still getting its bearings/still ironing out precise run times etc, so it's not an 8 boss group. Far from it, really.

It's currently 4 people, though we just got the 4th very recently, and one of the 4 dual boxes, so 5 characters.

The current party setup is WAR, COR, WHM, RDM, SCH. The RDM and SCH are the dual box, and he's a vanilla dual box (and my brother). It started as me and him duoing(trioing? 2.5ering?) A/E, Ground Floor minis + Reds, and a set of Naakuals after we lost our last group which was 4 people with two dual boxes, which only managed to get that much done (with sometimes a second set of Naakuals). Netting about 20~24k Galli per run.

My COR friend started to join us, and occasionally we get that second set of Naakuals, though our execution/minis positional luck hasn't been that great, so we've opted into killing Ixion/Naraka and getting their basement's bitzer chests instead, generally(about 437 galli less than a second Naak set).

Our hopes are, that with the recent addition of the WHM, and with a fifth and final real member, we can spread our wings a bit and move up to doing at least two basement bosses for 4 boss runs. We do want to grow beyond that, but it's baby steps for now(and beating G boss would be huge for us).

So if you're on Bahamut, and you're relatively new to Sortie, and are interested in a group that runs daily around 5:30~6:30pm East coast time, and you've got one of these jobs that you're willing to play with NO FUSS, then hit me up!

BRD, DNC, or GEO are the jobs we're looking for.

First choice is BRD. I'm kind of the de facto leader, and my standards aren't very high. At a minimum I ask for 3 songs, preferably one of them Honor March, but a standard 3 song BRD with appropriate sets and subs is welcome all the same. Mastered/MLs would be a nice cherry on top, but that will come with time anyway. Subs you should have no question are /dnc and /whm. /whm if you're backlining, /dnc when you're ML'd and geared up a bit to contribute to damage in a serious fashion.

Second choice is DNC. Standards here a bit higher. Nothing short of having some MLs under your belt, and preferably have a Twashtar. You don't NEED one, but it'd be nice. I'll still take a DNC without it, because I'm mainly lusting after your Merited Haste Samba and Presto Box Step and Chocobo Jig II.

Third choice is GEO. To be honest, I don't really like GEO, but my brother insists I should add it to the what I'm seeking. Beggars can't be choosers, after all. And I mean, it's still real damn good in spite of the Geomancy penalty in Sortie. For this, I guess at least have +7 Geomancy from the Bagua Charm +2 necklace and a decent nuking setup. If you have a real hot shot RDM, you might be able to talk my brother into swapping his dual box RDM with yours, too, I suppose, as he is a man who made an Idris GEO dual box character but then hard pivoted her into being a RDM main going after prime sword.

Anyway, as far as this group's lifespan goes, I don't know how long to expect it to hold together. I'm seeking new employment currently, so it's very non-committal on all fronts. Feel free to come try it out/get your feet wet and leave if you don't like it/us. Not every member make every day, and that's no problem. The core of it is me and my brother duoing(2.5ering), so that will is a consistent thru line for the day to day (20k muffins).

TL;DR - Dumb *** seeks BRD, DNC, or GEO for newbie Sortie group.

You could definitely move up to AECG (or ABCGE to be specific) by dropping the SCH and taking a Miracle Cheer bard and a second DD (I'd suggest WAR).

Recently returned and could use a group to run sortie with to catch up on gear. 4 song carn bard, dancer with multiple options available (one being twashtar + tp offhand you were looking for), Nirvana summoner (fleet wind, pet deaggro shenanigans and /sch for AoE sneak/invisible), and a Corsair that's about average at best lol. It does have aeonic gun + naegling for a variety of weaponskills and all roll gear though.

I'm pretty chill and not looking for anything fancy. I can be a dumb *** sometimes myself lol

I have a REMA brd looking for a group but would need to enter by 5pm EST :/

Just so it's known, with the addition of Brixy, we're not currently looking for more permanent members for the forseeable future.

Not everyone makes everyday, so we might like look for fill ins occasionally.

We've got a consistent tempo for 4 bosses now, and about 31k per run, and we're gonna improve a bit over time.

I post this, because I've been getting tells occasionally since starting this thread, asking about joining. Just wanted to clear it up. Brixy joined us, and we're steadily climbing the Sortie ladder.
