Generic names are boring. I guess I could've called it Bahamut Community something or other, but meh. There's currently 32 people on the server and couple new faces show up each day which is pretty cool.

While I agree a place that's nothing but drama never is a good thing for creating community- a lil' splash here and there keeps things spicy and worth paying attention to, versus such a boring place it might as well be just LinkedIn for Final Fantasy.
Thanks for your kind words sir. You know I'm not gonna sit there and babysit the disco like some sort of fun police and will let the drama flow to a certain extent. We (the ffxi community) are all adults, at least via our birth certificates, and know when we are saying things that are going too far and that wont be tolerated, but yea, a lil spice is ok from time to time.
I like the idea, but just a general question. Wouldn't it be better to use a generic Discord server name like: Bahamut Server FFXI over your LS Discord server?
We already had one person wanting to make his LS a hub for every other LS and Bahamut player and we all know how it went (though, I guess it was 100% fault on how that person acted).
This isnt a ls discord. I'm currently not a sack holder in any ls, let alone shell holder. I do use it with my sortie group atm, but this is for anyone to use and is not specific to any ls. I'm not sure who wanted to use their discord as a hub for all ls, maybe that was before i came to Bahamut, but I'm not actively seeking to have a linkshell hub. Just a spot for people who might be seeking someone for sortie, ody, dyna, ambus now, in 4 hours, tomorrow, a permanent static, etc. Or just a spot for maybe some people wanna hop on voice and shoot the ***with one another. If linkshells use it for networking with other shells or recruiting players, no prob.
There's a Bahamut server?
Believe it or not, there is. It's a mighty fine server. Half the population of Asura, half the shouts, and 1/10th of the merc shouts.
I think I managed to answer things that were brought up. There's nothing I'm trying to gain from this outside bringing the community together as much as we can to help keep the game goin as long as it can.
