Yesterday when yelling for segs C i found a BRD that i've never seen before.. i ask him then if he could dd and said "yeah"..went to check him and had nyame r1 (but r25 unlocked), aptitude mantle+1 and pretty crap gear. I've also seen a new player on rdm with kaja sword and ambu gear/amalric+1, but also O.sash and +2 neck r0...
I'm not against ppl buying from mercs, but i'm against those players who'll just swipe the cc to buy everything, while playing worse than people with far less gear etc.

Like sure, buy whatever but at least do ur freakin homeworks before wasting ppl time

Also lemme say it, i find it absurd and disgusting to see that people are fine with buying ML from mercs who got gimp-*** parties that are dead slow. I understand that they make more gil like this since takes more hours to grind ML, but tbh it hurts my soul to realize how *** up ffxi community is... If ya gotta buy ML, at least hire a pro merc with a good setup, instead of being lowkey scammed by these greedyass mercs who just exploit the game for some money irl.. kinda pathetic

I said good bye to this game not long ago i even sold my account due to Frustration of Sortie i have 4 weapons all on Stage 3, i hate the ML SYSTEM I HATE sortie i hate how the game is going. maybe its the reason the private server scene is available.

If you limit yourself to linkshell members only for content in 2025 then black faced robert downy has some words of wisdom for you.

Linkshells have member limits and since everyone for some reason needs a pearl on every mule and alt while staying logged in all day it's probably not uncommen to talk to yourself even though the shell seems half full.

/yell reaches more people, it can't get clogged up by some RMT with too many alts and by yelling regularly you're not suddenly stuck in standby just cause one of your mates isn't feeling it anymore.


However, if your buddies are all bot enjoyers I guess you need a LS to reach them when they out in the wilds 24/7.

Newsflash- the groups shouting don't want to have to, they'd rather not invite you and stick to their static members who do the content in ways they're used to, with little idiosyncrasies they're expecting.

And god forbid that various groups run the same content in various ways! How are you gonna join their shout you so desperately want instead of static membership and perform at the levels they're used to?

Since i came back 2 months ago i did try 5 different ML mercs once.. only 1 of them had a respectable setup and ethics. The other ones were lowkey scammers advertising 120k/h while doing half of that, if lucky.
That's the only thing i buy from mercs usually (few hours between mon-fri when i sleep, if the trusted merc is online otherwise i don't waste gil for mercs who inv u into parties where the sam deals 30-50k jinpus fulltiming tp/idle set with gimp gear and GEOs with laughable gear as well).. also tempted to get 1-2 extra aeonics since 35m is a fairly cheap price.
If these mercs keep offering OMEGACRAP services with sometimes insanely expensive prices, that's because dumb ppl keep buying.

You have thousands of hours on a game you aren't even good at, because actually playing the game with others would expose you as a bad player. So you just buy mountains of gil to get sortie carries job points/ml done, every +2 neck, every dyna upgrade etc, segment and oddy carries lol.

Just make the post "I sit on this game all day every day with unlimited gil, LF Mercs for X content X items etc. LF Merc Aminon Bumba 25 LUL. Buying gil off the same people youre buying your mercs from is a vicious cycle.
