Yeah the HD textures are good, the graphics artists did a great job. The censorship is the problem, not only because the dress looks bad (and goes against the nature of what siren is supposed to be in the first place) but because it shows the prudish nature of the management and how they will self censor all the games they make from here on out.
The only reason you know they are censoring and have this mindset is they are a remaster/remake and you can compare, new games will never have anything they consider to be problematic in them from the start. They employ western people who check everything they make to modern western standards.
Square Enix became successful because they were never a prudish company and this appealed to people who enjoyed that, now they are. Which is amusing because their merch dept obviously have not got the message yet and are still making overpriced female t&a statues for their fans.
Square don't seem to get that their fanbase likes things they are now unwilling to now offer them, not only are they utterly irrelevant to younger audiences but they are quietly alienating their actual adult audience too. All the characters in the franchise are so loved because they were made to be so appealing and over the top, the modern ones are just bland trash quickly forgotten.
Ff15 was a sign of how uncomfortable SE are adding female characters now (which was utterly insane), and they did massive damage to their brand by doing it. Ff16 was an attempt to become a western developer and remove themselves from what FF is completely, Yoshida had to be forced to even add moogles and chocbos.
The company is out of its mind and has no strong leadership, if they want to see what kind of customers they have they just need to look at how perverted ff14 is.
They also have no new talent at all and part of that is because they give their developers no freedom, and all the actual names they have left are a few years away from retirement.
