There are continually a number of characters fishing for cameroceras in the bottom of Sih Gates. I don’t get the point? It doesn’t sell for much Gil, and has no utility. What am I missing?

Fishbots always gonna fishbot, they sell for 3k so that's 600k, if they're faster to catch than "other fish worth 3k" then that's why

They also go to 110 skill

I get that concept back when fishing Hakuryu was a thing a decade ago, for 10.6k/ea, when gil was much more difficult to come by. But 600k/day per character is nothing, especially considering it takes 12+ hours to fish up 200 of those things. There must be something else going on with it.
