England is still owed £billions of ww1 debt since we handed out so much cash, yet we paid off our ww2 debt to USA, finally finished a few years back.

being in the middle of 2 wars made us in huge debt + needed to rebuild London and all other major cities. had to change our currency eventually and give back almost all our territory to not die out, America gained a huge advantage from the war.

as for the casualties, England frequently gets quoted at around 325k military deaths, while America is 295-500 depending on source.

and getting deep into France became hard when the Germans took control of it.

School history books are ALWAYS bias for the country its used in.

btw if 95% of worlds population died thats still over 3million people alive, would still be war, people crave power.

Every country owes money to another country. Don't act like England still doesn't owe money to people.

Actually it's still 50 states. All 4 of those states signed the union to be part of the U.S.A. They are calling themselves commonwealths to say they're populace are equals and no one is more important than the other. Phillipines are independant from the US and no longer a territory or even a commonwealth as stated on that wiki page. We have states and territories. Commonwealth has nothing to do with that.

England spent most of its time in French trenches fighting the Germans, didn't sit on our island : D

and we fielded loads of troops, not just from England but from a lot of our other Territories, for our amount of troops and time spent fighting the small death rate is pretty amazing.

you guys can say USA saved ww2 all you want, but without either USA, England or Russia Germany would of won.

Russia kept Germans fighting on two fronts.
USA kept allies supplied and helped deal the finishing blows.
England kept the Germans from obliterating Europe, if they gave in then there would of been no real place USA could safely land in Europe to make a base to prepare an attack.

Germany would of taken control of Europe and USA would just of had to sit back and watch.

If you go that route than there's not beer company that solely makes good beer.
