Opec guarantees we can buy oil from Iraq no matter what at normal prices, so there's no reason to fight there "for oil". Don't buy so easily into what the media feeds you, it's ran by 5 companies all of which cooperate with one another. They screen what goes on the air. Oil was only worried about because it's the main export for Iraq and money made from it would make Iraq's ecomony better. Money from the oil was supposed to be used to help with food to feed the people during the embargo on Iraq
