Good luck with that. While getting something good from Aman might be at okish rate, targetting something specific now with so many items in loud thud pull is just insane. You could throw 1 billion on orbs and never see the item. Unless you simply agree with someone to just buy knife for like 200M IF it drops for him.

There being a ton of items now doesn't mean that the chances of each specific "good" item are that much worse than before unless you're assuming that each individual shard/void is comparable in drop rate to equipment.

Also keep in mind that Loud Thuds are easier to get now with the new mechanics.

And I completely get that. But it should not be defended by players at all, because some servers may have trouble finding shards. Maybe if Dynamis wasn't ***to begin with? Throw them in as ambuscade rewards. I mean literally anything but put it in a lottery system.

That's exactly what you will do now. You won't waste time farming Shinryu anymore. You may use your own orbs/mules to farm shinryu drops in the meantime. But you will absolutely make an agreemenet beforehand with someone or shout to buy shinryu drops from someone who gets lucky and sees one. Because that time saved is worth more.

I get that, but we're also talking about at least 308 new possible drops.
Even with slightly more frequent loud thuds that's still a noticeably larger pool :-/

Couldn't you already do that thanks to shinryu having a lobby anyone can get into?

What was the strat to kill the mimic? I think it might be worth killing that *** before shard prices enter freefall?

Of course you could, but the drop rate on Shinryu items you want is so bad, nobody was wasting their time, plus you can only do like 2-3 at a time if someone is farming them for you. In less than a day you have seen several confirmed reports of shinryu items from Orbs, and they can be done an unlimited amount of times based on orb supply. It's a no brainer now. Everyone doing trove, way more chances to get shinryu items than you ever did from shinryu2


SAM WHM BRD
all 3 reraise at start (not hymnus)
Need 3 extra RR items (or can sub whm for spell)
Ka-Thwack eats first RR
SAM does Light or Darknes skillchain based on whichever mode it's in
WHM heals
BRD has to lullaby Death or SAM will die
Every 25% the Mimic will Ka-Thwack, you need to re-apply new Reraise
Repeat process until dead

You could probably use death resist+ gear and bring GEO for attunement/vex, if the Mimic isn't immune to Geomancy. but I wouldn't depend on it. BRD can lullaby every death cast, it takes like 2-3 seconds to go off, so you have time to react (probably more with Nocture).

I'm curious if the WSD ring still drops from here, I'll try my orbs later on today! I've got a ton saved up :)

Correction. You only have 2-3 at a time. The rmt selling it to you on the other hand are perfectly capable of just taking your gil in advance and running the shinryu bot until it drops while you sit afk with treasury set to lot the knife.

how do ppl sell orbs? if you invite buyers and take them in you risk them disbanding and opening mid chest?
if you fill inventory 80/80 so drops stay in loot pool you're under time pressure and risk losing full pool if you overlook time. can you even use /yell within the exit zone?

so ideally you'll want to run 1 multibox for this?

I mean, if you trust an RMT to take your gil in advance for an item that almost never drops, have at it.

Nearly nobody.

The total number of added drops means nothing by itself since they're not of equal rates. The 220 void items combined seem to be only somewhat more common than other good items.

Nearly nobody is selling, but dozens of people are lining up to buy weapons/armor, and hundreds for accessories. It's not really a time sink for the buyers since they don't actually have to do anything but be ready to run to zone on drop.

The chances of actually buying a weapon/armor drop is low, but all they have to do is wait, just like with buying from AMAN.

Every screenshot so far has had Voids in it lol. Some multiple. (or a paragon card)

I got rainbow chest and got a Ashera Harness and Dagon in one run.

I don't buy from rmt, but you're already doing that every time you pay before getting the invite (or drop) to any service they provide.

There are a number of screenshots posted without them in it. Someone also posted both Ashera and a handshard from a single Loud Thud, implying that shards can come from Thuds and not just Loud Thuds.

Greyson gave me a Copper voucher for a Venus.

shards from wave 1 are thuds, voidshards are loud.

I don't see the VR topic around, so did anyone get the ifrits KI yet? is it just from a mining point or is there something special to do?

What are these new chest mechanics being discussed?

After the cutscene with Rahal, I didn't do anything special but I managed to get the key item within three or four pickaxes. There probably isn't any sort of special requirement.
