If it makes you feel better I got 0 refreshes in ~100 or so. Unless you count juice as a refresh (har har).

They're saying that the LT was a chest located far away from the chests which actually gave the BB messages.

3, 4 and 5 were the BB and 6 was LT, on the opposite side of the BB. The BB isn't due to proximity.

You are right, I should have clarified by quoting this bit about BBs being an indicator of location of LT or mimic. My screenshot just showed BB after third chest and BB message stopped after LT was popped
Edit: i guess BB message would have also stopped if mimic was popped, so i cant rule out the possibility of it being an indicator for mimic...

Feels like it uses the same Common/Uncommon/Rare/Very Rare for the 4 item types you can get back (Juices, Copper Voucher, SP key, Mars/Venus refresh). Has anyone gotten a refresh besides these 4 types?

Ok now that 5 refreshed orbs my friend got on 10 orbs (basically 50% rate lol) sounds even more insane >.>

I just did 22 mars & 22 venus orbs.
results:
0 orbs refreshed
1 twilight cloak
2 pulse weapons
1 pulse body (i guess this one counts as garbage but w/e)

More theory crafting. All my rainbows were with venus orbs. What if venus orb rainbows locks out or reduces chance of void, cursed gear, and other trash from diluting the drop pool?
I dunno what other people popped with so its just my tin foil hat idea that SE would bless us with something that might make sense.

IMO it's extremely likely that anything in the Loud Drop treasure pool has the same chance.

I've obtained 3 or 4 Omen bodies from AMAN(can't remember if one was AMAN or the Gobbiebox special dial), 0 Tartarus. Random treasure pool is random.

This is the sequence I am considering for the new AMAN BCNM
Chest 1. If LT then exit
Chest 2. If LT then exit
Chest 3. If LT then exit
................If BB then one of 4 5 6 7 8 is LT
Chest 4. If LT then exit
................If BB then one of 5 6 7 8 is LT
Chest 5. If LT then exit
................If BB then one of 6 7 8 is LT
Chest 6. If LT then exit
................If BB then one of 7 8 is LT
Chest 7. If LT then exit????
................If BB then 8 is LT
Chest 8. If LT do NOT exit
Chest 9. RainBow chest is LT
..............Gold chest is T?

The only decision for me is what to do if Chest 7 is LT. Do I risk Chest 8 for a guaranteed LT on 9? I don't think I would.

How is this different than the supreme strategy of "Loud Thud or Bust!"?

I would certainly go for LT or Bust, but here I was trying to describe the subtlety of the new AMAN messages and possibilities

Aside from the loot pool adjustments and the 3 new events, Trove functions exactly as it used to. The only predetermined chest that loads is the mimic. Every other chest that loads in is unidentified and a roll for noise is made when you interact with the chest.*


Event 1: Eureka!
There is a very small chance that when you load into Trove, one chest is already 'discovered' as a colorful chest. This is the exception to the mimic being the only predetermined chest on entry noted above.


Event 2: Intuition...
There is a chance that after opening chest 3+, you will receive the message "You hear a belligerent bang from one of the remaining treasure chests". If this happens it means that one of the non-mimic outer chests has been forced to a loud thud. This chest will remain undiscovered(ie. no color change). When the chest is found, the message will no longer continue to be displayed.


Event 3: Split the difference
Upon opening the 8th chest there is a high chance that the last unidentified chest will be 'discovered'. This can be either as a gold chest for 'thud' or colorful chest for 'loud thud'. Normally you would have 2 chests remaining (1 mimic and 1 undiscovered), but SE throws us a bone and basically gives us the last box free.




Now, do you open the 8th chest if the 7th chest rewarded a LT? Well the odds say that you're more likely to select an undiscovered chest than the mimic (2/3), but the event isn't a guarantee of LT so I don't think there is a correct answer here.

So then the only real question is, do you feel lucky. Well do ya punk?

Aside from adding new drops it seems the main change to AMAN is that they changed mars from being a 50% chance at being a complete dud run, into allowing you to change it around if you can get to 8 opens.

I really like the rework, even if I think they overdid it with rare rewards here.

I don't think you can accurately say whether the chests are predetermined or whether the bang forces a chest, you're making assumptions that are 100% unprovable.

They're probably still right, but maybe shouldn't be stated as fact.

Too boring? Maybe I should've come up with a Trove compass....

This may have been answered already, but is the new items included only Shinryu + Lilith, or is the other HTBF in there as well? (Odin + Cait + Alex)

I know someone who has seen a cait sith hammer, but I haven't heard about odin or alex

Yeah I got the Cath Palug Hammer, also got Malignance Pole which was super exciting for the briefest of moments.

I got the shield from Alex too.
