I've read about it on PUP forum, but i thought it was only for bcnm/htmb fights so i wasnt that worried about it.
But it actually happens also on mission fights on non-instanced areas.
I just finished fighting the mobs for TVR 5-6 "The Seagull Phratrie" where you have to "click" the glowing thing on the ground to pop the monsters, and my pet despawned.
Does that mean that it will happen also on unm, vw and vnm fights??
If that's the case, it definitely needs to be fixed.

Does it put you under a level sync status on entrance to the fight? Your pet will despawn if it does, even if the level cap is still set to 99.

I can confirm that avatars get auto-released after every Voidwatch kill. It's very annoying but still manageable.

Considering a 40s fight, spending like 4s for resummmoning plus all dead time in between thats about 10% loss per fight.

Considering VW is like a ford-like factory event when performance can impact the productivity in a noticeable way, its a bit more than simply annoying.

Fight takes 2 sec if you pop with 5 Displacers, but you can summon during the pop animation, so it's hard to say how much you really lose.

It also happens to geo luopan which is really annoying since it means you can't hold on to a bolstered luopan across multiple fights.


I am surprised it took them this long to address this bug. It has been a known thing you could do on /PUP for any level restricted content.

if you summoned an auto and than were restricted to some level still higher than the auto your pet would stay activated and you would have a automaton stronger than your level restricted /pup could create. for a level 50 restriction you could have a lvl49 automaton, which can be pretty neat but guess that is dead and buried now.

it also wipes indi(including when they are entrusted) auras so they have to be recasted. so 2 of geos job abilities are trash in vw.


That said bst gets the shortest end of the stick since its cost money to summon a pet, so your adding additional cost to the fight.

This is a pretty bad nerf (another one) especially for bst, given our beast loyalty recast time.

It seems the bug has been fixed.
Just finished Puppet in Peril and my pet didnt despawn after the fight.
Unfortunately i need to log, so i have no time to check if its been fixed also with uhn,vnm etc.
