Well..... This is the one that's supposed to get carried forward. Gigas specifically got all *** up.
Not a lot to say on it, it's stupid easy. Still haven't entirely nailed down 99k insta death. IIRC it's ether don't lose enmity or don't do damage during his skillchain. Something menial and pointless. A stun to break the skillchain is effective.
Strat is barfira/Carol use every buff in the game and just kill it in 35 seconds. Mega > Minions.
You can do it the slow way too with water nukes/death.
Spiking/wsing/something during megabosses skillchain.
Simply wait a few seconds for him to finish the sc then zerg it.
Never really narrowed it down because the boss only has like 300k hp it dies so fast the mechanic becomes kind of inconsequential.

Got V1D down with RDM/NIN, GEO, WHM. Buffs were Indi-Barrier, Geo-Fraily (Bolstered), Entrust Indi-haste, Bafira and other regular things. Trusts were Valainearl, August and AAEV (all tanks survived at the end so probably didn't need that many).
Opening the fight by sleeping the boss with Stymie + Saboteur, then having Valainearl grab hate on all adds (watch the distance from the boss), moving to the corner (WHM stayed at max range), Bolster Geo-Fraily, Chainspell, then Savage Blade > CDC > Water V > Requiescat > Water V to zerg three adds down (Fistfighter → Fistfighter → Marshall), waking up the boss and kill it, then move to kill Swiftshooter.

Also, the "you instantly die mechanic" may be fixed so this one might literally be over in 10 seconds.

Me and my noob friends are trying to do Gigas on Difficult and it's doable but messy/inconsistent. I'm PLD tanking everything and across ~5 attempts I have had my shield removed immediately every single time which is not helping to keep things under control lol. We've got a near max RDM Barfire and I've setup a gearset with a bit of extra magic evasion and resist (mostly +2 empyrean) and tried subbing RUN prebuffing with Unda/Vallation/Pflug and as far as I can tell it has made no difference. The bgwiki page makes it sounds like Barfire alone will help resist it but that hasn't been our experience at all. Am I missing something or is that maybe just anecdotal/applicable only on lower difficulties?

Strong WAR x2 COR BRD meleeing fully buffed, kill boss first ASAP. Usually no gear removed.

Also depends on your gears magic evasion which is generally over looked when these people add this stuff.

Exactly this, kill boss first then the 2 mnks and leave bst for last. I do it with sam, geo, whm, whm and w/e trust.

Done it with a 2boxed whm (not sure if auto) and I 2boxed afk BRD. WAR RDM COR melee only. Easy.

This year beat D duoing it using nin/run tank was pretty easy so might try VD

I did it as PLD/RUN np with just Barfira and the shitty subjob Valiance, had no issues at all really as PLD DD DD GEO RDM WHM

In a JP group, doing it the mage strat method. RUN COR GEO BLM SCH SCH. Distortion > Leaden on MegaBoss. Water MB, Water Shot after Waterja. Then Distortion > Water MB every add. 3 min kills, no need for a healer (Perpetuance Regen V covers the RUN)

Easy month. Was doing it with BRD/COR/GEO/RUN/WAR/WHM and the buffs suggested on BGwiki. Kill boss quick. Leave Trainer for last as it can Charm. 1400 accuracy to cap. RUN preferably takes hits from everything and contributes damage (/DRK for LR with Epeo), but the latter isn't essential. /BLU if the RUN is struggling. That's all there is to it.

I am curious as to how a well geared sch Regen would work and a few aoe cure 4s Not even that sweaty as WHM (unless your tank gets charmed) I bet a SCH could easily heal it though I guess you'd still want barfire and SCH/WHM would have a less potent one risking to be encumbered. You could also barfire outside I guess but adds an unnecessary extra step unless swapping WHM for SCH decreases your kill time a lot.

ya, a little harder on the mnks since they can guard but as long as you have enough melee buffs it wrecks them, they have basically floored magic defense bonus already so don't need malaise.

without, requires multiple immunobreaks for megaboss, but 1/1 on everything else
Apparently can land every other enfeeble, including sleep (did not try Break, that's usually immune), just need enough immunobreaks. Gravity landed on the second cast.
