2021-2022 Clamming Hopes & Expectations

With the new year rapidly approaching and certain aspects of FFXI stagnating, I look back fondly on one of my enjoyable, yet niche, ways to spend my free time. While chocobo digging can be used to still actually obtain upgrade materials like HMP, I find that Clamming has really not received the attention it deserves.

In addition to other events/hobbies SE has let fall by the wayside, what kinds of items do you think they should add to clamming to make it a viable hobby for people in the near fiture? Crafting mats? Upgrade items?

What new outfits do you think should be given a Clamming boost?



Maybe Clam Chowder needs to be changed from a seasonal NPC purchase to a full-time synth item we can enjoy?

More jacknifes and fewer bibiki slugs would be a start

Yeah, but those are nice because they are used in one of the Mog Garden monster feed evolutions. Mini Slime into a Clot to be specific. People actually buy them. Bibiki Slugs, I mean.

Let us start out with the 200pz bucket, or when we upgrade buckets the catches enter our inventory and the bucket is reset to 0/X.
