Should be able to post checklist stuff within the next hour after I run around updating. On first look I already found stuff I'm missing! Black card key item (and 6 ochestrion KIs, gross), battalia lycopodium warp, and escha ruaun warp 15. I doubt any of that will make me rank up to 9 because I'm also not finished with tvr yet , but I'm willing to try grabbing the warps since its quick!
Edit:and had a jewelry case in mog house I never claimed. Nice.

10230/11242 currently on checklist. Rank 8. Going to get the two quests and two warps I'm missing done maybe if they aren't too bad. Still need to finish tvr, but not willing to do that since I'm sure it would require real gear and playing and all my stuff is locked up in wardrobes anyway I'll post checklist output when I've decided I've had enough and quit again Edit: got last lyco warp and escha ruaun 15. Still rank 8. Quest time It's MSQ you don't need any leet gear (till the last boss)
Eh that's not entirely true. I've seen dozens and dozens of people rolling right into TVR after finishing ROV and getting stomped. They're definitely higher on the gear reqs as you go on.
That being said, I've seen like 30 different people beg for help killing the taru behind the altepa gate, and meanwhile I walked in and three stepped him in seconds, so maybe some jobs just have it rougher than others. Avereith could probably ask others for help killing them, though. Anyone who's done the quest should be able to join. Just don't forget to get a stage 2 weapon from sortie (10k galli and one stone) when you get to that chapter, you need it to enter the final BCNMs.

Been grinding out job points and monstrocity, but it is all a drop in the bucket compared to where most people are. Since I had some time to think about it and since I cannot lose my Altana medal to drop ranks (until I hit rank 6 at least) - I was wondering a couple of things:
Byrth your mule that is rank 7 - 5966 and only GEO and WHM is rather perplexing for me. Mostly since I just dinged rank 5 at the same point (again, I track manually) and to be sitting at the beginning of Rank 5 is well... really troubling me. Unless the weights of certain things like Abys titles and HTMB clears and Ody titles are way way out of sync with other weights, I just am thinking I am capped by playtime (maybe out of fear of mute power) or something is egregiously wrong with my comparisons to others. More info needed, any solid theories as to what has a lot of weight based on all the input from people over the years? People seemed surprised when I hit rank 8 and the things I had going for me were playtime and lots of old content. So it's not really a solid theory, since it doesn't generalize, but... yeah, Abyssea (Atma of the Savior) and playtime did seem to play a role for me. Possibly even also IRL account age rather than playtime, which is impossible to ever test.
(not HTMB VDs, nor Odyssey clears even on V0) Well, that is interesting for sure... first note SE said was 'number of days played' which I assume is playtime days and not just the days you logged in. I had a feeling I would hit Mastery Rank 5 at the 60th playtime day mark. I suspect the next break point will be 75 days for rank 6 or perhaps 100 because of mute-powers. To be precise I noticed it at 60 days 2 hrs in and it might have been an hour give or take since I had checked - but I was not doing any content associated with mastery rank ups! I was actually just doing campaign battles to get the points for my next campaign badge rank up. I did zone 60 days 0 hrs 9 mins in playtime, but then I realized something only after the fact... what if it does a check at some interval such as an hourly check (was not JP midnight). So either I ranked up from completing a campaign battle in Xarcabard(s) or I dunno.
Aside from your huge number of RoE your quest count might be extensive as well. So far I have been pushing towards job mastery and will be capping crafts as those are all low hanging fruit. Quests do seem to be low on the weight list, but Atma of the Savior is something I'll need to work towards for sure. My Abys is pretty terrible. Been clearing stuff at a solid pace so hopefully I'll have more info to share for comparison in the future.

Updating my spreadsheet: Does anyone know the precise requirements for the Mog Garden title "Bond-Building Breeder"?
I have "keep the same monster for 30 days" but unless evolving resets the clock on that, that's definitely not it. So I finally unlazy-ed and installed XIchecklist (whoa, praise to the author!) and my current situation is depressing, standing at just 8352 points.
Got a couple of questions: 1) The addon says I have 1 incomplete quest from Adoulin, Siren. But I completed it? Multiple times actually, so... what's goin on here? 2) There's 3 HTBF which it says I haven't completed (no title) but the HTBF npc says I completed em all with grand merits, meaning I did VD, sooo, what's wrong? °-° Noticed I'm missing the 3 Lycopodium warps, will work on them eventually. Does the Addon track those old unlockable warps from Crags to Sky? I seem to recall you had to do something to unlock them all 3 but I haven't used em in aeons, so I don't remember the details exactly. Didn't see them in the "warps" list. Got to final tvr fight and got my butt whooped! 2 or 3 fetters taken down before all my trust were out of mp and wiped. I'll get help and we shall see if that does anything to my rank.
Also might be able to get sortie basement boss clears/titles while I'm back based on an old friend group mentioning taking me along as a leech, so more titles and content to come!

For what it's worth, the final battle of TVR doesn't have trust enmity restrictions, so you can freely resummon trusts as they are killed, other than spell recast cooldowns of course. 4th try is a charm! Thanks for the sehlteus tip, I forget a ton after 3 years gone. Timed out second try, but 4th try I realized I could switch to normal weapon for fetters instead of crappy stage 2 prime. Oops, lol
Have to do work stuff now, but I'll post my xichecklist copy and see if rank up after I finish all the other tvr wrap up stuff later today  Ranked up to 9 after zoning into lower jeuno upon finishing TVR, after getting title and ring! Haven't even finished the followup/epilogue stuff yet so the title must have some weight XIChecklist output: So rank 9 without incursion titles still, or aminon/sortie basement bosses titles/RoE, or rank 25 bumba (he's rank 0 currently), or tons of moogle mastery in sheol, or all mog garden titles, or vanabout title. So at least none of those are "hard" required or w/e WOO@! Ugh, now I want to stick around to get sortie titles, rest of RoE, and vanabout title, lol edit: oh, and it doesn't say in xichecklist, but 1400 days, 17 hours, 57 minutes, 31 seconds playtime as of right now Edit2: and big props to the xichecklist! With you creating this, I would have never tried to rank up again and see what I was missing. Thanks!

Dumb question. How do people track zones they been to if they do not have Xipotion's thing, I checked BG wiki and counted the zones and got 278 - but I figure that is still far from the 292 listed here.
Anyway to show the counted zone list. I been to almost everything and I do not know where the other 14 are. There's a lot of zones for the boat and airboat things.
Each route is a different "zone". Boat Mhaura to Selbina is a different zone from Selbina to Mhaura, for instance. And it's the same for all the boats to and from Aht Urghan and likewise the Airboats connecting the 3 hometowns etc. PSA that free login is a good time to do those MMM clears for a few reasons:
1. If you have a mule that has normally-deactivated alts, each alt can also copy a maze and enter once a day. 2. If you have friends that quit, they're now mules! 3. Massive bonus points for Rhapsody in Mauve. |
