A Combined Guide for Cooking & Fishing Craft
I've decided after playing Final Fantasy 11 for years I'm going to put all my resources for guides here and over to Nasomi. This guide hopefully answers several posts on how to level cooking/fishing and fishing at the same time low-cost Ingredients. This guide includes fishing guides that benefit you as a cooker I picked the locations that are the best benefit for the cooking recipes as well for recipes, Any information on the locations of fishing, ingredients, shops can all be found here. This should be the cheapest cooking and fishing guide ever on Final Fantasy XI FFXIAH and Nasomi!
1) Cooking is to supplement fishing with cheaper bait and cost.
2) Fishing is to supplement cooking with free farmed ingredients or NPC.
3) Fisherman wants Lu Shang yeah we all can dream ^^.

Fishing 0-7 Crayfish 7 Moat Carp 11

Preferred Rod/Bait:

Composite Fishing Rod===NPC: Lusiane Map: Southern San d'Oria (F-8) Little-Worm=== Insect Paste AH but can cost abit 3.5k depands on servers..or go for the cheaper option (Keep 8 stacks of Moat Carp, turn in the rest for Lu Shang OR AH your choice. Keep all crayfish.)

Cooking 0-3: Peeled Crayfish

You can keep Peeled Crayfish for Black Eel fishing for later on or sell them your choice. (Alternative fishing)

Cooking 3-9: Boiled Crayfish

Fishing 8-14 (17 Max): Bastore Sardines 10, Yellow Globes 17

Preferred Rod/Bait:

(You can never have enough Sardines, sell the Yellow Globes)

Cooking 7-11: Sliced Sardines

Keep fishing bait sliced sardines you will need later on.

Cooking 12-17: Slice of Carp

Keep fishing bait Slice of Carp you will need later on.

Keep the trout, Sell the salmon or keep for (Alternative cooking)

Preferred Rod/Bait:

Switch to frog lure after sliced of carp run out.

Cooking Roast Pipira 17-21

You will probably level here, but you came here to get your ranks and Pipira fish.

Insect Balls 21-29

Start piling up on Insect Balls. You can either max your cooking on them now or make while you fish (this guide hoards bait, make
it as you need it)

Fishing 21-27 Moat carp 11 Tricolored Carp 27 Gold Carp 56

Preferred Rod/Bait:

Tricolored and Gold Carp are money carp. Sell them to vendors, Moat Carp for the Lu Shang or AH your choice.

Updating and testing............

Actually the cheapest path in cooking is to use water/ice crystal to skill up all day long until 80~90 then try to get all the skill items to push you pass 100 and skill up on the 100 recipes.

Fire crystals can get so expensive it's not worth doing and Wind crystals come a close 2nd place.

Orange juice > selbina butters > pineapple juice > fish broth > tomato juice > grape juice > orange au lait > yagudo drink/apple au lait > pear au lait > pamama au lait > fried popoto/pukatrice egg (fire crystals) or sublime sushi > dawn mulsum

After that... fizzy broth if you farm the meat, pork cutlet if you have someone buying your product or red curry if you want to dump it on the matket.

This is a combined guide for Cooking & Fishing Craft...Starting from zero.

Fire crystals and wind crystals are too expensive to be called cheap

You get them at a low level job class :P

You can also farm them in sky. But that's besides the point.

You can get to 60 Cooking relatively cheap just by camping the NPC that sells kits. Then you are stuck with just fishing.

It's nice to think that leveling fishing and cooking concurrently is a good idea, but in today's game, it isn't.
