I Threw Away My Living Bul. Pouch. Help!

I'm prolly gonna get flamed but i tossed my living bullet pouch by accident and the GMs have been no help. Is there anything i'm missing and don't know about getting a new one? Maybe an NPC or something. Thank you.

Try tossing your DP and grab a new one.

And always keep your gear on wardrobes.

Have you tried trading your Death Penalty back with Oboro and see if you can get the pouch back?

GM was no help cause i didnt contact them until a few weeks later. They told me i had to contact within a week for a restore. I'v traded the gun to every NPC and there mother. If i toss my DP , can i get another from an npc? im willing to have to pay for the R15 again.

If you toss your DP, you have to make a brand new one.

You might want to toss your DP, call a GM, get the DP ilvl 199 III version again, trade Oboro for the pouch, and start your RP all over again.

It wouldn't hurt. The worst is that you have to start another DP. The best is that you solve your problem.

You'll likely have to start over on it. /comfort.

You may be able to raise ***with the support team, you obviously have an augmented DP, Really it should have just been a KI and new JA you can use on cor, idk.

Did you try trading your DP to Oboro or w/e in Jeuno?

Hopefully they run a check to see if the r/ex item is present on the character account and if not reissue it... but this is FFXI who am I kidding.

Before taking some drastic measures, try going to OF and ask suport. Sometimes its something they didnt have hindsight to foresee, so they can fix in a future update.

IIRC even the pouches were some guetto solution to some ***that happened to people trying to R15 their guns. They keep messing on this item.

It wouldn’t even be hard for SE to implement an in-game reclaim system for some of these things to take the load off the GMs. For a Japanese company they don’t exactly do poka-yoke* in this game very well.

Pretty sure it was just because you can't have both a rank system and an enchantment/dispense charge on an item

Honestly, who drops a R/EX item that you absolutely NEED for end game content. You are bad and should feel bad! Pay attention to what you are doing in game and don't be dumb. Get gud, suk less.

Do not drop your Death Penalty. They will only be able to give you an unaugmented one. They can’t replace augmented items.

I would call another GM and at least get a second opinion, ask for a higher up GM if possible, can't hurt, and may save you more than half a billion gil...

second, drop your DP and get it restored, but I think it will be level 75 (not sure)

third, to try and avoid you throwing your rank 15 DP... are you able to remake a DP, and get up to where the gun dispenses the bullets (after beitetsu, I believe), so you will have 2 DPs, one for bullets, one that's rank15...? (depending how much living bullets are truly worth to you, I personally wouldnt spend more than half a bil on bullets)

I'm not sure if SE rare/exclusive blocks you on "Death Penalty" (therefore, the above wouldn't work) or on "Death Penalty (augmented)"

This happened to an LS mate Cazanova back when the augments were first released in late 2018. Long story short - after months of nothing SE could do with recalling the account back or giving him a new pouch, he just had to make a new DP from start to finish which sucks. During the waiting period he did quit due to being so deflated about the incident and ultimately I think he did quit the game for good after making the second DP.

Not gonna lie. I thought about dropping my ammo pouch during the Imp/Soulflayer Ambu month. As cor, I was shitting out bullets and could not keep up with our killspeed. I decided against doing it, and just subbed rng and used ammo in my off time to compensate for the speed kills. I later learned about the above issue and I am glad I did not toss it.

This is one of the dumbest issues in FFXI to date. You would think by tossing your pouch or something, Oboro or whoever would say "Oh, you seem to have lost your precious 'xyz pouch' - I can restore it for random rema mats price" [This action can only be repeated once per conquest week]. But no. You literally are left at the decision to be bullet-less, or start a new weapon over again. How the hell that makes any logical sense, idk

This is not a matter of logic. Its a matter they just didnt think players would toss it, intentionally or by mistake. Thus they didnt add a way to reobtain.

Thats why the best you can do is complain in OF. If they actually read you, im sure they would be willing to add some extra way as, like i said, the pouches is just a guetto solution.

You can toss any item in the game, how could they not have thought nobody would accidentally toss the item? They were being lazy and using all that double speak about "augments and dispensable items" excuse, like they always do. Not implementing a way to re-obtain a part of an ultimate weapon, is absolutely bonkers.

When you post your bug, share the link here, so we can Like it and SE can see they messed up by not having a way to re-claim lost REMA pouches.

It sucks that you're going through this, and yes, mistakes happen, but this is 100% a single-point of failure that SE has to fix. This has been mentioned on the official forums before, but not as a bug, but a feaature for how to replace the pouches with someone different entirely. Anyway, while we're here, feel free to like it so, SE can fix the issue:

It is absolutely a matter of logic, as well as dollars and "sense". SE's FFXI director has to ask for development and QA resources from FFXIV teams. When he borrows those people for hours/weeks at a time, his department gets 'charged' for those hours and it comes out of FFXI team's overall budget.

By developing the most minimally, minimum viable product, SE can get the cheapest cost for the resources they borrowed. And of course, we, the customers, gete the shaft.

Going forward:
1.) All new items should have dispensed by a moogle/NPC/mission should have a recovery path.
2.) New game currencies/points, should automatically be added to a Currencies 1, 2 (or even 3) menu.

I did the same thing a while back. Had to use my recovery 1x thing to get it back.

Funny thing though, i was reading in a JP source, they are pretty meticulous with those items. I remember they doing some discussion about items that can be recovered and that cant be recovered on their blogs. Its interesting the comments when they says like "hey, you can recover SoA collar" then the answer is "nice, now i can toss it".

Thats how they are more careful with items there is no known way to reobtain, despite being junk or no.

Don't drop your DP. DP takes forever to make.

Syto remade the DP for him. Khamael also dropped his and remade a R15 DP

Maybe I'm not too casual / poor of a player, but the idea of dropping / redoing a REMA that I worked hard on seems ridiculous to me. If my options were: 1. Restart. 2. Live without HQ bullets.
I'd take the latter.
