We're holding an "Alter Ego Design Campaign" where players can choose the behavior for an alter ego!
We are asking adventurers across Vana'diel to tell us what job, gear, and combat behaviors your ideal adventuring companion would have. After preliminary judging by the FINAL FANTASY XI development and operations teams, players will be able to cast their votes to determine the winning entry!
The entry with the most votes will be implemented in-game for a limited time!
I submitted that it should be a Geomancer in chocobo outfit, that's what everyone wants tbh.
Also I find it a bit odd that they would add a developer to the game as a trust, for a team that is really anal about lore it's a bit strange. Not a big deal I guess but still.

Sadly they kinda threw lore out of the window when they put giant crystal in Selbina without any explanation.
Fair warning, just like the "Choose a NPC from Vanadiel to be a trust" contest where Cornelia won the first time, this is a totally rigged contest and they already know exactly what kind of trust they are going to make.
Much like they knew Cornelia was going to be the trust they picked as the winner before anyone even voted. They even basically all but admitted that Lady Lilith won overwhelmingly, but had already decided they were going to bring Cornelia out of obscurity.
I want a buffer, probably a Geo that isn't linked to a Unity, but a BRD or COR that doesn't swap to Paeon/Ballad/Evoker's roll when you briefly drop below 80% MP while gearswapping would be nice. ~_~

Example: A paladin that is always in Berserk mode. Uses Sentinel and Rampart after every Provoke. Specializes in casting Holy, and will cast it when Divine Emblem is off cooldown. Only uses Spirits Within weapon skill.
* The development team will make adjustments based on the provided information.
* The alter ego may not surpass the capabilities of a player character.
* This can be simple details about the alter ego, such as whether it auto-attacks, cast spells, uses weapon skills, uses abilities, or their preferred range from an enemy.
* One (1) entry per Square Enix account. If multiple entries are submitted, only the last entry submitted will be accepted.

Tonberry. TH8 aura. No other skills. Does not engage.
They already said it will be a male tarutaru and is likely that face model in the banner, but hot damn. I really want a tonberry lockstyle of some sort of maybe Grav'iton in tonberry form as a trust. Yass betch, yass!
Man, if you could turn of weaponskills or spells/JAs your Trusts would use... But they want Trusts to have intentional flaws, Monberaux being a PLD with Cover proved that much.
